Beschreibung
I am a single English lady living in rural France. I breed Golden Retrievers and Cocker Spaniels. I have currently 8, plus a Kooikerhondje, that is a dog! I occasionally have puppies. I also have 2 cats. My neighbours have a Limousin beef farm. The landscape is very picturesque. I enjoy going to dog shows both in France and abroad and would require help to look after the dogs when I am away. There is a double bedroom available. Because it is so rural, it is very quiet.

Arbeit
I have a vegetable garden that has a mind of its own. For the dogs, confidence is essential, experience with dogs is beneficial but not essential. I am able to help with the dogs a lot but it is best if you are confident and happy to deal with them without constant assistance. They are all very well behaved, but they need attention and further training to stop bad habits e.g. barking. Walking, grooming the dogs.

The house was built around 1850 with thick granite walls. It has central heating and internet. There is a double bedroom and workaways would have the freedom of the place. I generally eat basic English meals but am open to new tastes. The cooking and cleaning of the house are shared duties.

In Folles, about 3k away, there is a bar/restaurant and in La Souterraine 15k, there are shops, and 40 minutes is Limoges. I am happy to help those staying with me by dropping them to local towns or the train station for days off. I do not expect you to work everyday.

Othane did not like getting up before 11am. I did suggest to him that if he got up earlier that he would avoid the heat of the day whilst working.
He did not show much initiative, just did exactly what I asked and no more.

Oda was great, the dogs adored her and even Mr Darcy allowed himself to be stroked.
She was a great help with the garden and then when one of the dogs were having her puppies, Oda took over the care of the others and me.

Millie stayed with me for about 2 weeks. She was hard working and helped a lot with the dogs, especially Jumbo, a young cocker puppy.

Ryan was with me for just over a week. He fitted in very well. The dogs adored him and he was very hardworking, reducing the small mountain of wood into logs for the winter.

Vom Host für Workawayer (Mark)
Mark stayed with me for just over a week. He was a lovely chap who got on very well with all the dogs and worked very hard and was a good cook as well. I would welcome Mark back and recommend him to anyone.

Vom Host für Workawayer (Luciana & Adrian)
Luciana and Adrian stayed with me in March. Sadly, due to a bereavement in the family they could only stay for a couple of days. In that short time both got stuck into looking after the dogs and cooking lovely meals.

Luke & Rosie stayed with me for 10 days. They were a fantastic couple who both worked very hard. The dogs adored them and will miss them as much as I will. The veggie patch is now ready for planting. I can't recommend them highly enough.
