  We are about to start a Experimental Permaculture Centre for Viticulture, a project which has the following goals:
  1. Self sustainability and resilience
  2. Produce quality wines without any chemical aid
  3. Collaborate with University and Research Centers
  4. Share experiences and knowledge through organization ospecific permacuture courses, farming weeks, and ad-hoc meetups
  5. Organize cultural events around ethnic and popular music and living theater
  6. Build a network of resilience and sustainable centers worldwide
  
  We are located in Chianni, Pisa, in a house from 1650 and with a land of 3.5 ha, mostly terraced with dry walls built between the 1920 and 1940, which where abondoned around 1960 during the booming of the Vespa.
  We are at 450 metres above sea level with stunning views on the central hills of Tuscany, from Volterra to Pontedera and we are at easy reach from the Airport of Pisa.

  We are building up a new culture here, a culture based on Permaculture principles, which is not just about farming but it's about sustainable lifestyle . We expect Workaway's to learn about Permaculture and become themselves promoters of this new vision of the world.

  Arbeit

  We just need enthisiasm, curiosity and "can do" attitude. Anyone can help here, in the garden, in taking care of the vineyard, helping planting the trees for the food forest, taking care of the few animals, organizing the courses, taking care of the guests.

  Workaway's will have the opportunity to spend time in one of the most beautiful and well preserved areas in Tuscany. We are nearby some of the most reknown medieval villages like Volterra and San Gimignano, art cities like Pisa, Lucca and Florence. The seaside is less than one hour away and the Spas of Casciana Terme are only a short drive. Pisa airport is 45 mins by car. Public transportation is by bus, with the stop at 800 meters from the house.
