  I am Ivor (47), a biology professor and a nature lover. I am moving from the capital of Croatia to a seaside town where I plan to adapt the house I grew up in. I will be mostly alone in the house at first and I need help with the above. At the same time, I want to give a volunteer the opportunity to spend some quality time in my beautiful area.

  I truly want the volunteer who joins me to have a true experience of staying in my area. I will do my best to make it meaningful and enjoyable for you.
  - We can teach each other a language (English/Croatian) along the way
  - You will have the opportunity to learn about the culture, customs, traditions, and way of life in my homeland. Shared meals, socializing, and work will be a great opportunity to get to know each other and exchange life insights, knowledge, and skills.
  - As a volunteer you will be able to learn about gardening, preparing traditional dishes and various repairs in and around the house. I am ready, eager and willing to share my various knowledge and skills with you.
  - I will be happy to show you some very beautiful and special places in my area in my free time and suggest numerous places you can go to yourself... natural beauties (which are abundant), historical sights, cultural, local events and the like. I am confident that you will have a great time with me and in my area.
  
  It is very important to me that you feel like a member of the family, not just a guest and a volunteer.
  - On a daily basis, we will talk about daily activities, plans and mutual expectations. I especially want to hear what you would like to see and experience in my area. I will make that possible for you as much as I can.
  
  What I expect and wish from you is that through conversation and socializing, you will introduce me to yourself, your culture, customs, etc., to share your views on things, suggest your ideas, etc. Also, to help me learn English. I am completely open to learning new things.

  Arbeit

  interior decorating, paint fence, help in garden,... I know lots of things, so I think you will have opportunity to learn something new. Experience with interior decorating is key prerequisite.

  Gesprochene Sprachen

  Englisch: Gute Kenntnisse

• 

  Unterkunft

  You will have a room to yourself and more or less everything I have, you will be able to use. My English is not the best so I can't describe everything. I expect you to ask me anything you are interested in.
  Staying: about 7 days.
  You will have breakfast and lunch. Breakfast will be buffet style or take-what-you-want option from the fridge.... We will cook lunch alternately or as we agree. I expect help with serving and washing dishes. I will buy the groceries.

  If you enjoy exploring interesting placing in nearby there are really lots of them, but you will need a car. If you don't you can go somewhere with me or local buses.
