  Beschreibung

  Hello! We are a family of four living right in the beautiful city center of Bamberg. Our family consists of our daughter, who was born in 2020, our little son, who was born in 2022, my husband Jesús, and me.
  
  Since we live in a large apartment with two guest rooms, we actually have more space than we need ourselves. So we thought: Why not welcome someone into our home and, at the same time, have some extra support in our busy family life?
  
  With two children, there is naturally always something going on in our household, so we can definitely use an extra pair of helping hands. The support can be quite varied: helping with household chores, doing small handyman tasks, perhaps painting a room from time to time, or simply helping with the things that come up in everyday life. We are very flexible and would love to have someone who enjoys getting involved and lending a hand.
  
  Especially during the summer, we spend a lot of time at our piece of land, which is located about ten kilometers outside Bamberg. We have around ten hectares of land with fruit trees, a small cottage, and our own vegetable garden. If you like, you are very welcome to join us there. We can garden together, splitting wood, prune trees, grow vegetables, or simply spend time outdoors. There is always something to do, but there is also plenty of space to relax and enjoy nature.
  
  As you can see, life with us will probably never be boring! Most of all, we are looking for someone who enjoys family life, likes being active and helping out, and would love to become part of our everyday life.
  
  We are also a bilingual family: My husband Jesús is Spanish, I am German, and our children are growing up speaking both German and Spanish. Jesús and I also speak English.
  
  We are looking forward to getting to know you and hopefully sharing our home with you soon!
  
  
  Bamberg itself, is for me one of the most beautiful citys in the world, even if I have traveled half of the world. I love traveling by myself and getting to know new cultures. So I miss traveling and getting to know other cultures. So I thougth it would be nice to bring other cultures to our home. Our two Children love to have visit and welcome everybody with open arms (In the truest sense of the word).

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  We are a totally active family. So in summer we often go to our garden plot with friends. In Bamberg there are so many festivals and as we live in the center we just have to go out the door and are just inside the happening.
  Moreover there are many lovely places for hiking, walking, climbing ect that are worth to see it. We make los of excursions.
  
  What you mainly learn?
  What is it like to live in a 2-language family in a house full of life in the center of Bamberg. Many German and Spanish traditions. Our children especially love dancing and singing.
  My husband, Jesús, is a hobby musician. He plays piano, flute, guitar and trombone. I'm a musical loser. I usually dance and sing along, even if it sounds terrible :-D
  
  My husband works as an engineer, and I am self-employed as an insurance broker. If you are interested in or have any questions about these fields, we would of course be happy to share our knowledge and help you in any way we can.

  Arbeit

  There are various things to do both around the house and, most importantly, in our garden and on our land. We are quite flexible and would love to find someone who enjoys getting involved and using their own skills and interests.
  
  Around the house, there are of course some regular household tasks, such as cleaning and keeping things tidy. If you enjoy cooking, you are also very welcome to cook from time to time. We generally eat vegetarian food (me, but the rest of the family also eats sometimes meat). We already have a cleaner who helps us regularly, so household chores would only be a smaller part of the overall tasks.
  
  There are also some smaller projects around the house. For example, a few rooms could use a fresh coat of paint – our children have finally stopped decorating the walls themselves! 😊 So if you enjoy painting walls or doing small DIY projects, there is definitely something for you to do.
  
  If you enjoy spending time with children, you are also very welcome to help with childcare from time to time. Our children love music, and we have quite a few musical instruments at home, so if you play an instrument or simply enjoy making music, that would be a lovely bonus.
  
  However, our main need is **help outdoors, especially in the garden and on our land**. The tasks vary depending on the season and your skills. Some examples include:
  
  * stacking and handling hay
  * pruning trees, if you have experience with it
  * planting fruit, vegetables and other plants
  * weeding and general garden maintenance
  * trimming hedges
  * mowing the lawn
  * sweeping and clearing leaves
  * sanding and oiling our treehouse
  * working on parts of the garden ground
  * laying a few tiles
  * building supports for our raspberry plants
  * setting up a greenhouse
  * and many other small projects that come up throughout the year
  
  As you can see, there is always something to do! We don't expect you to be able to do everything. Instead, we would love for you to bring your own skills, interests and ideas and find the areas where you feel most comfortable and enjoy helping out.
  
  Whether you are experienced with gardening and DIY or simply enjoy learning new things and working with your hands, there are plenty of opportunities to get involved. And of course, we are happy to show you how things are done if you don't have experience yet.

  Unterkunft

  We have two guest rooms in our apartment, so there is plenty of room and privacy for you to feel comfortable here. Our apartment is located right in the heart of Bamberg city centre, so shops, cafés, restaurants and everything you need for everyday life are within easy walking distance.
  
  One of the guest rooms is located upstairs. It has a 140 × 200 cm bed and a desk, so it can also be used as a comfortable workspace. There is a bathroom right next to the room. This bathroom is almost exclusively used by our guests, as we only use the toilet at night and the bath downstairs at daytime.
  
  The second guest room is located at the other end of the apartment, next to our home offices. It has a 180 × 200 cm bed, but no desk. This room does not have its own bathroom, but you are welcome to use the guest toilet downstairs. For showering, we would ask you to use the bathroom upstairs.
  
  Since we live right in the city centre, parking can be a little challenging, especially directly in front of the apartment. However, it is possible to park nearby, and we can of course help you find the best parking options if you have a car.
  
  Our apartment is very spacious and has a large kitchen and a big living room, where we spend a lot of time together. We also have quite a few musical instruments at home, including an electric piano, an electronic drum kit, a guitar and several other instruments. Music is very welcome in our home, and it would be wonderful if you enjoy making music with us and especially with the children.
  
  There is also a little terrace where you can relax and enjoy some time outside.
  
  Overall, we have a lot of space in our home, so there are plenty of opportunities to have your own privacy while still being part of our family life. We hope you will feel at home here!

  Was noch ...

  As we have 2 little Kids, we are looking for responsible people that don't't mind having children around. We do not allow smoking inside the house, Also not on our terrasse.
  They are 3 and 6 so it's not always quiet here :-D. Our children love it when we have visit. So be prepared that they want to show you all there toys and so.
  We live in the middle of bamberg, so transport is easy. Main Busstation is 2 min walking and train station 10-15 min if you walk there. By bus around 5 min.
  
  Food Arrangements:
  Regarding food, I generally prefer that everyone is responsible for their own meals, and in return, less work is required. We're especially in summer often out and don't have much of a routine, so it's frequently hard to plan anything precise. However, if time permits, we'd be happy to prepare meals together.
  More over I want to mention that I am vegetarian but I don't mind cooking meat. It's just, that we don't eat meat everyday. Also I welcome vegan people. If someone likes to give a hand on cooking I also would be happy about that.
