  We live in a masia in the countryside, 15 minutes walking distance to the nearest village, Riudoms (the village where the most famous architecht in the world, Antoni Gaudí, was born). Riudoms is aprox 100 km away from barcelona (1.5h by train), 10 km to the nearest beach (Cambrils), and 30 km to the Montsant mountains.
  We are: me, my youngest daughter Karen (11), ocasionally my other two daughters, Fiona and jana, two dogs (Maia and Cooper), a few cats, hens, bees and other wild animals.

  You will get to experience the mediterranean way of living (sun, food, siesta), while being close to nature.
  You will also learn about how water mines work, their history and heritage.
  If you are interested in sustainability, we can share our experiences with you about compost, bee keeping and preserving fruits.
  Of course we will explain you about catalan culture, language and food, and invite you to join us in any cultural activities happening in the village or nearby.

  Arbeit

  We are trying to restore an old water mine that transports water to our "bassa" (a typical catalan pool used to water the fields, that we also use as a swimming pool during the summer).
  We have located 11 wells of this mine, and we need to remove sand and stones from the inside, so the water can flow through the mine again, using these wells.
  I cannot do it by myself, as I need someone helping from outside with a rope while I am inside the mine (you don´t have to go inside the mine yourself, it´s not dangerous and it´s not a heavy duty).
  
  Additionally, my youngest daughter needs to practise her poor english and it would be great to have someone that speaks with her ocasionally (for example during meals, not formal lessons).

  Unterkunft

  You will sleep in one of my older daugther´s bedrooms, in an old countryside house.
  Home cooked meals will also be provided and you are more than welcome to cook with us if you want (but it´s not required).

  Riudoms is a small village and there are other villages nearby that you can also visit, as well as nice walking routes in nature. We will recommend you places to visit and explain you how to get there.
