Beschreibung
Our family guesthouse opened in 2003 with a little cottage which quickly became one of the top rated guest houses in Haputale. We are situated in the peaceful hills of Haputale, with beautiful views of the valley below and surrounded by tea plantations,. We are really amongst nature here, where you can hear the sounds of birds, monkeys, wild pigs, chickens and deers coming up from the jungle. The views are simply breathtaking.
Our guesthouse is a short drive from Haputale, a small village which is situated in the Hill region of Sri Lanka. The town is connected by railway and is easily accessed from Colombo, Ella, Marissa, Arugam Bay and Kandy. From our place, we are within walking distance to many attractions - The famous Lipton Seat, Samimale Rock Temple, tea plantations, jungle mountains and many other sites.
We are a friendly, warm, loving family of 15. We all pitch in to help make the stay for our guests an unforgettable experience and to show them a piece of our paradise that we call home. In our downtime, you might find us in the tea plantations playing a game of cricket.

You will stay at the most beautiful place in the Sri Lanka hill country with a very nice Sri Lankan family. You will experience the real Sri Lankan lifestyle.
There are a lot of nice things to do in the area. I would love to take you on a trekking, camping tours to the waterfalls and the mountains around my place. I can take you fishing, sports, lunch outside. I would like to show you my village and surroundings.
You will have free breakfast, lunch and dinner made by my mum. And you will stay in the family house.
We can offer you some tuk tuk rides and lessons.
Arbeit
My family and I run a homestay guest house in the Haputale area. It has 6 big spacious rooms, with a big garden and an excellent view, the best you can have! Even better than the World Ends view!
Our guest house has quickly expanded in size over the last 10 years - and we now need some help with our latest projects.
I can use some help with:
Gardening
We have a very nice area around our guesthouse and I would like to decorate it more with your help. Like adding grass and flowers and make the place even more beautiful. Because our ground is up on the hill we like to construct some stairs and fences. I need people with good ideas and enthusiasm to help me.
Building
We have now 6 rooms and 2 cottages and I am thinking of building wooden cottages and make a restaurant. The guests are now eating in our family living room. I like to have help with the ideas around building those cottages and some help with building.
We also want to build a campsite on a property nearby, so that in future we can offer this as part of our accommodation packages.
Art
I have beautiful rooms and I would like to decorate the walls with artistic touches. So if you like painting or you have good ideas about it, I would really like your assistance.
Tourists
I do a lot of camping and trekking tours with tourists. I would like to have someone who help me with organizing those trips and go with me.
If you were to come and stay, we'd expect you to help between 4-5 hours/day on weekdays. Weekends will be your free time.

The accommodation that we will provide, will be a shared dorm style room. You will be provided with a good mattress, sleeping bags, towels, mosquito nets and family cooked meals. If you are looking for an outdoor camping experience, we can provide you with a tent.

It is easy to get here in Haputale by bus or train. We will pick you up from the railway station or bus station. Our guesthouse is 3 kilometers from Haputale.
