  Hello Workawayers!
  
  We are an Icelandic-Dutch family with a lovely, spacious house beautifully situated right next to a river, surrounded by forest and unspoiled nature. We fell in love with this peaceful place the moment we saw it – it's a perfect escape into nature.
  
  Since we live and work part of the time in Oslo (where we’re involved in research), we’re looking for friendly and reliable helpers to assist us with **basic maintenance**, **gardening**, **light construction**, and **general tidying** in and around the house. When we are not there, you'll often have the place mostly to yourself – a quiet, magical spot to enjoy nature and unwind.
  
  ### What you can expect:
  
  * A peaceful, natural environment ideal for relaxing or recharging
  * Access to kayak, SUP board, a cozy sauna, great swimming spots, fishing, and forest trails
  * A large kitchen to prepare your own meals (or share with others!)
  * Plenty of space for reading, meditating, writing, or just enjoying the quiet
  * Opportunities for cultural exchange – we speak Norwegian, Icelandic, Dutch, English, and even a bit of Italian (thanks to the kids!)
  
  We are used to welcoming guests and enjoy creating a warm and respectful atmosphere. We’d love to hear from you – especially if you enjoy working with your hands, spending time outdoors, and contributing to keeping a beautiful place well cared for.

  Live in a quiet place with a wonderfull view over the lake, peace, enjoy the seasons, the weather and the natural surroundings.
  
  The place is about 1km from a small village, so you are not completely isolated.
  
  We are happy to borrow you a boat, bicycle, Sup or kajakk and provide you with tips on what to discover in the surroundings or in Norway in general.

  Arbeit

  We have a lot of garden projects like;
  ** cutting of grass and bushes
  ** forrest cleaning, pathways maintenance
  **cut wood for winter
  **removing old fences so animals
  dont get stuck
  ** paint the boat with a new layer
  **etc, etc.
  
  Or help us to reach our dreams like:
  ** building a natural playgarden
  ** creating an outdoor shower
  ** building an outdoor kitchen
  ** build a shelter for the kajakks closer to the water
  ** etc
  
  Many possibilities, and depending on your skills we will find a task. We are happy for all help to maintain and improve the place.
  
  * workawayers will help in our private home and garden and not in spaces in use by paying guests.

  Unterkunft

  You'll have your own room and space with a sofa and tv, easy cooking gear and share acces to the garden, shower and large kitchen with us.
  
  If you rather camp thats possible too, lots of grass and tents available. :)
  
  You can cook your own food or eat with us, when ever we are there. Or catch a fish (biggest forellriver) and find berries and mushrooms in the forrest 😊

  Was noch ...

  This is our second time trying this concept and hope it will work well for both of us. We have experience with receiving guests.
  
  The place is easily accesible by car. The bus to Oslo (1.5 hours) and Besseggen (1. 5 hours) stop very nearby.
