  Hello, My name is Nadia and I have been living on the beautiful island of Skopelos for 10 years. Skopelos is the greenest island in all of Greece. It is covered with pine forests and surrounded by crystal blue sea water. There are many options for hiking throughout the year. I am looking for a fit, independent and absolutely amazingly loving woman to come live in my little hut that is set up on a hill overlooking the sea and the mountains across on mainland Evia from 8th of August 2026 to 15th of August 2026 .
  
  Over the years, I have rescued 15 adorable cats off the streets of Skopelos. All my cats are healthy and affectionate aswell as chipped and spayed/neutered.
  They are all able to enter and exit through the cat flap leading to the outdoor garden.
  
  I am looking for a woman who will give my cats lots of love and affection, fill up their feeding bowls daily, change their water bowls daily and water my plants on my terrace.
  
  My cats are very low maintenance, requiring no medication to be administered to them and no cat litter to be cleaned.
  
  Just below me on the mainstream is a bus station that will take you into Town where all the supermarkets and shops are.
  The bus also goes to all the major beaches on Skopelos.
  
  In addition, there are also 3 supermarkets, plenty of Cafes and restaurants and a gym and a yoga studio in Skopelos town,.
  
  My cats are all rescue cats that I have saved either from the garbage bins or around garbage bins as ill and abandoned kittens over the years.
  Today they are all healthy and wonderful cats that I love dearly. I have 9 females and 6 males, some are long haired and others are short haired. They range in age from 6 years to 10 months. Over the years of living together, they have come to tolerate one another reasonably well.
  
  They are independent and spend most of the day outdoors, however in the evenings some will prefer to be inside and to sleep the night indoors.
  
  I have made several beds for them in different areas of the hut so each has a bed of their own to sleep in, but of course being cats, many will prefer to sleep next to you on my comfortable double bed and that will need to be ok with you if they do.
  
  As I have mentioned already, my cats are used to very much love, touch and affection and I am hoping that the woman who will pet sit them, will continue to give them all the touch, love and affection that they are used to.
  
  My hut is a 90 year old Kalivi. Kalivi's in this part of Greece were the buildings used in the old times by families on the island to live in during the time when they would harvest their olives or their fruit trees that they grew on their lands. My Kalivi is set on what was once an old plum farm.
  
  My place is a short bus ride away from Skopelos town where you will find all the amenities you need, including a health clinic.
  
  The kalivi in total is about 28m² containing a good sized bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. There is a solar panel on the roof for hot to heat up your showers.
  
  My oven and cooker both run on propane and the propane bottle is located outside of the home. Everything is in working condition including fridge, washing machine and TV.
  There is also a WiFi box that provides Internet throughout the home.
  
  The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, plates, bowls, cups, knives, cutting board and cutlery. I will provide towels and bedding.
  Outside are two long clotheslines on which to hang your laundry.
  
  Unfortunately there is no space indoors for a table and chairs to eat on but just outside the front door is a big covered terrace with tables and chairs.
  
  In short, my place offers everything you would need to be comfortable and hopefully my cats will continue to get the same care, love and affection from you as they would from their cat "mom".

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  You can hire a local teacher for one and one lessons to learn Greek, at the Skopelos cultural centre, local traditional Greek dances are offered. In November and December you can partake in helping the locals with harvesting their olives. There are 10 beaches on Skopelos, 7 of which can be accessed by bus. You can also go visit the neighbouring islands of Alonisis and Skiathos for the day.

  Arbeit

  My cats are easily to take care of. There are no medications that need to be administrated to them and no litter box to clean. The pet sitter just needs to be present everyday to fill up their five food bowls daily and to clean and change their water bowls daily, give them wet food every second day and give them lots and lots of love and affection.
  
  The person looking after my cats also needs to water my plants on my terrace and to keep my home clean.

  Unterkunft

  You will have my home all to yourself. You will be living in a 90 year old traditional hut with all the comforts you need.. A fully equipped kitchen with oven and stove run by propane (propane bottle is located outside of the home). A flat screen and WiFi. A solar pannel is located above the home for hot water..A double bed with perfect firm mattress. A very good washing machine located outside and 2 long clothing lines. Towels and bedding are provided.

  However I ask that the pet sitter return to sleep every night in my home as my cats are not used to being alone in the evenings.

  There is no table and chairs inside my home. Only on the outdoor terrace are there tables and chairs. Inside the home however is a spacious double bed on which you can work on.

  15 cats ranging from age from 10 months to 6 years. Some long haired, others short haired. All are rescue cats found in the garbage or streets as abandoned and sick kittens. All are healthy beautiful and affectionate cats today.
