  Beschreibung

  Our place will soon be a guest-house and yoga retreat located in the village Shroma in Guria, Georgia.
  In August 2022 we have purchased a traditional Georgian house with 1,2 hectares of forest and fruit gardens. We are now at a very early stage of our development but with the help of friends and people from around the world will be turning it into a dream guest house and yoga retreat.
  Our project team is 4 people, we have been living in Georgia for over 3 years and guess we understand the way it works here and will be happy to guide you about the work and the life in the village.
  Lots of work needs to be done in construction and gardening (and sometimes we need help in preparing staff meals), and in return we offer: accommodation with views to snow peaks of Bahmaro mountain and Black see coast, vegetarian meals and our community evenings with like-minded people by the fire place or on our terrace, where we tell stories, play board games etc.

  You can learn about Georgian village life and local traditions, develop the knowledge of DIY construction and gardening and benefit from our joint meals and community gatherings by the fireplace where people from around the world share their life stories.

  Arbeit

  We have a house and a garden that were abandoned for 14 years, so need help in :
  
  restoring the house: plastering and painting the walls, putting tiles, sanding wood
  gardening, creating kitchen garden, tree pruning etc
  help in the kitchen, overall cleaning etc.
  
  You can be a skilled builder or gardener or we can explain what exactly is needed in order to renovate the house and make the territory around it clean and cosy.

  Unterkunft

  We have now 5 bedrooms, few double and the rest like dorm accommodation and with the help of volunteers we want to turn into cosy accommodation with attached bathrooms. And we have already build a really cool shared bathroom with amazing bath tub.

  Was noch ...

  Batumi is 1 hour drive, Ozurgeti and Poti 30 minutes drive, beach is 20 minutes drive and Bahmaro mountain 1 hour. We have 2 cars in our property and happy to give a ride when time allows otherwise local mini-buses or hitchhiking are always a good option to get to some point.
