  Beschreibung

  We are a small, friendly couple with three wonderful dogs and one lovely cat 🐱, living on the quiet, green edge of Amsterdam — countryside vibes right at the city border! Only 5 km to the lively centre by bike, 20 km to the beach, and sports fields (football, tennis, padel) next door.
  We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on helper to join our relaxed daily routine (about 4 -5 hours/day, 5 days/week, with 🔷1 full day off and🔷 1 day just walk with dog).
  ⚡Payment 100€ a week.
  Main daily/regular tasks:
  Walking with one friendly dog (twice a day, ~1 hour each in total – lovely routes in the neighborhood and parks)
  Wet/mop cleaning in half of the house (daily quick maintenance)
  Full house cleaning once a week
  Ironing duvet covers (2–3 times a week with a steam iron + TV/YouTube allowed 😊)
  Whenever possible: preparing or helping with dinner (or do an extra evening dog walk instead)
  
  Occasional / by agreement tasks (from our planned list):
  Washing windows
  Cleaning the dogs’ sofas/beds
  Light garden work (weeding, tidying)
  Sweeping the yard/driveway
  
  We value: reliability, some experience with household routines, and flexibility with the daily flow.
  In return you get:

  Social activities where you can connect with us and the local community
  We often go for long walk along the peaceful paths right outside our gate — sometimes heading into the lively center of Amsterdam for a canal walk, or to explore markets and street food. Other times we go by car and then for walk the other way to the nearby beach for fresh sea air. You're very welcome to join us on these outings!
  The skills and knowledge we can share with you
  Living in an old farmhouse surrounded by nature, we can show you practical Dutch countryside living: how to cycle safely and efficiently everywhere (it's basically a national sport here!). We're happy to teach you useful Dutch phrases for daily life, share stories about local history and traditions, or explain how things work in the Netherlands.
  What we hope to learn by hosting people from different cultures
  We don't travel as much as we'd like these days because of our home and dogs, so having Workawayers here is our window to the world! We're genuinely curious about your home country — your food, music, traditions, daily routines, funny cultural differences, or even challenges you face back home.
  If you're open-minded, enjoy animals and nature, and like a mix of calm rural days with easy access to city energy, we'd be thrilled to welcome you into our little family! 😊

  Arbeit

  What we're looking for:
  A helpful person who can assist us daily with the following tasks:
  - Walking one dog (daily walks)
  - Doing wet/mop cleaning in half of the house (daily)
  - Performing a full house cleaning once a week
  - Whenever possible, preparing/cooking dinner — or alternatively, doing an evening dog walk instead
  - Helping with occasional / by agreement tasks from our planned list, such as:
  * Washing windows
  * Cleaning the dogs' sofas / dog beds
  * Some gardening
  * Sweeping the yard / driveway
  !* Importantly: ironing duvet covers / bedding (which I bring home from my work)
  
  We're looking for someone:
  - reliable person with prior experience in domestic work / managing daily household duties,
  -is flexible with the routine.
  In return, you'll have a cozy stay with us,
  -good food,
  -time for yourself,
  - the agreed pocket money / honorarium.

  We have a spacious private bedroom available for you, with access to a shared bathroom (shower + toilet) that we keep clean and tidy.
  ❗️House rules / Important notes
  We are a non-smoking and non-drinking household and prefer guests who share the same sober lifestyle.
  If you smoke, please do so only outside.
  ❗️We do not allow visits from friends, partners, or any other external guests to our home — this is strictly not permitted, out of respect for our privacy and due to one family member's current state of health.

  In your free time, you’re completely free to explore and do whatever you like!
  You can easily cycle or take public transport into the city centre (just 5 km away) to see the famous sights of Amsterdam, walk along the canals, visit museums, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.
  The beach and the North Sea are only about 20 km away — perfect for a relaxing day by the sea, a swim (in summer), or a long walk along the coast.
  You can also visit the local market for fresh produce, flowers, cheese, or just to feel the Dutch vibe.
  If you feel like earning a bit extra or trying something new, you’re welcome to look for short gigs or other paid work in the area.
  And of course, you can take day trips to other beautiful Dutch cities (Utrecht, Haarlem, Rotterdam, The Hague are all very close by train), visit world-class museums, parks, or just discover new places.
  We’re flexible and want you to enjoy your time here — whether you prefer relaxing with the dogs, exploring the city, or mixing work and adventures!
