  Our theatre company is based in Northern Germany and creates exciting immersive theatre projects in unusual locations. We work with our own theatre train, travelling along railway lines throughout Germany and bringing documentary theatre directly to different places and communities. Our main base is the historic railway station in Schiffdorf-Geestenseth, near Bremerhaven, with railway connections towards Hamburg.
  
  The theatre operates a unique production facility for theatre on rails. Our 11-carriage theatre train includes accommodation, a kitchen and dining car, offices, a workshop and technical facilities. The team lives, travels and works on the train during many of our projects.
  
  We are looking for reliable and open-minded people who would like to become part of our international theatre team and help with everyday life on the train or other practical tasks around our productions.
  
  As we are a professional theatre company, all working hours are paid. We offer at least the German statutory minimum wage for every hour worked. Accommodation is provided free of charge in a shared single cabin on the train. Food expenses are shared by the helpers at a low-cost rate.
  
  Working and travelling with us is a great opportunity to experience a very unusual form of theatre production from the inside, meet artists and people from different countries and become part of life on a (sometimes) travelling theatre train.

  It's a great opportunity to see the creation and live performances of a documentary play in different railway locations. Working with an international team of artists and others, living intercultural exchange. Traveling with the own train (for some projects) and staying at special places.
  
  Eine Chance, die Entstehung und Aufführungen eines dokumentarischen Theaterstücks an verschiedenen Eisenbahnstandorten zu sehen. Zusammenarbeit mit einem internationalen Team von Künstlern und anderen. Reisen mit dem eigenen Ozeanblauen Zug (für einige Projekte) und Übernachtung an besonderen Orten.

  Die vom Gastgeber angebotene Vergütung entspricht dem Mindestlohn

  Dieser Host bietet Unterkunft und Bezahlung.

  Arbeit

  We will need a COOK / CHEF from 9th October to 26th Octobre 2026. A friendly, well organized and open-minded person who can cook for us in a professionally equiped kitchen (on rails). Knowledge of vegetarian kitchen is neccessary, as well as abilities to prepare meat and fish. Experience with cooking for a larger group of people (around 20 persons) and a driving licence would be an additive advantage.

  The place of the train and work will be our home-base train station in Geestenseth (near Bremerhaven, train rails to Hamburg)
