ENGLISH VERSION:
We are a couple with a daughter (born in 2017) living in a off-grid country house in the middle of a 5000m2 field with cats, chickens and ducks.
We feel we are part of nature and we belong to it. We believe it is our duty to look after and respect the place where we live as well as the planet itself.
Our goal is to be in a self-suficient place where nature provides us of food and health trying to cause the less harm possible.
We have a big variety of fruit trees, aromatic, medicinal and tropical plants (+-250 species) and also mixed fruit tree hedges made of evergreen and deciduous species. And also, sourdough bread making, solar oven and solar fruit dryer, grey water plants filtration, dry toilet, vegetal and animal organic matter composting, rainwater harvesting (7000L tank), pond with aquatics plants, beehives for pollination and nest-boxes for birds.
We are looking for volunteers who are willing to help, learn and share our lifestyle in a quiet place. We will ask the volunteers to do 5 hours a day 5 days a week.
We like volunteers that enjoy being on their own but also that can engage in daily life activities all together within our family. Keep in mind that we have got a 6 years old daughter so we also look for volunteers that like being with children and can get on well with them.
For us it is very important that you respect our instructions and suggestions, that is that you commit to the tasks we think you are available to do in exchange.
Please if you are not interested in working and learning farm work and only want to learn a language or travelling we suggest you to not to come , this is will be the wrong place for you.
The farm is located 3km from Lliria and Benaguasil in the middle of orange tree fields. The metro station Benaguasil is 2.5km with direct metro to Valencia (located 30km).

SPANISH VERSION:
Somos una pareja con una niña (nació en 2017) viviendo en una casa de campo rodeada de una parcela de 5000m2 con gatos, gallinas y patos. La casa no tiene conexión al agua corriente ni a la red eléctrica pero tiene una instalación solar y conexión al agua para la irrigación de los campos.
Nos sentimos parte de la naturaleza y que a ella pertenecemos . Creemos que nuestra tarea es respetar y cuidar este lugar donde vivimos asi como el planeta Tierra.
Nuestro deseo es ser auto-suficientes y dejar que la naturaleza nos provea de alimento y salud intentado en este proceso de causar el menor daño posible.
Tenemos una gran variedad de frutales y plantas aromáticas, medicinales y tropicales (+- 250 especies). Hay setos de frutales mezclados caducifolios y siempre-verdes. Y también, elaboración de pan de masa madre, horno solar y deshidratador solar, fito-filtración de las aguas grises, váter seco, compostaje de la materia orgánica vegetal y animal, recuperación del agua de lluvia (aljibe de 7000L), balsa con plantas acuáticas, colmenas para polinización y cajas nidos para pájaros.
Necesitamos ayuda de gente con buena disposición, ganas de trabajar, aprender y compartir nuestra forma de vida.
Pedimos al voluntariado para ayudar 5 horas al día 5 días a la semana.
Nos gustan las personas que saben y disfrutan estar por su cuenta así como sabe estar compartiendo momentos en familia . Ten en cuenta que tenemos una hija de 6 años por lo que también buscamos a personas a quienes les guste estar rodeadas de niños y se lleven bien.
Para nosotros es muy importante que se respeten nuestras indicaciones y sugerencias; esto quiere decir que pediremos por tu parte compromiso en la realización de las tareas .
Por favor abstenerse aquellas personas que no estéis interesadas en trabajar y aprender en las labores del campo y que sólo queráis aprender idiomas o viajar.

Arbeit
Main tasks that we will ask volunteers to do:
- Gardening (sow, transplant, harvest, watering, seeds harvesting and preserving,...)
- Field, hedges and path maintenance (irrigation, prune, mow, mulching, composting,...)
- Harvesting preservation of the cultivated and wild fruits and vegetables (dehydrating, canning, juicing of fig, kaki, apple, grape, pomegranate, loquat, mulberry,...).
- Chicken coop maintenance.
- Firewood preparation for the winter.
- All kind of fixing and repairing stuff in the house and in the garden (paint, plumbery, masonry,...).
- Active participation in the daily chores (food preparation, dishwashing, cleaning, laundry).

Tipo de labores a realizar :
- Huerto (sembrar, trasplantar, cosechar, regar, cosechar y conservar las semillas..).
- Mantenimiento del campo, de lo setos y caminos (canales de irrigación, poda, siega, acolchado, compostaje,...).
- Conservación y transformación de las cosechas de frutas y verduras cultivadas y silvestre (deshidratación, zumos y conservas de higos, kakis, uva, manzana, pera, granada, moras,...).
- Mantenimiento del gallinero.
-Preparación de la leña para el invierno.
- Arreglos variados en la casa y jardín de todo tipo ( pintura, fontanería, albañilería,...).
-Participación en la tareas domesticas diarias (preparación de las comidas, friegue, colada,limpieza general).

The farm is located 3km from Lliria and Benaguasil in an area of cultivated fields. The metro station is 2.5 km away with a direct metro to Valencia (which is 30 km away). We can make a bicycle available to the volunteer if they need it.
La finca se encuentra a 3km de Lliria y Benaguasil en zona de campos cultivados . La estación de metro esta a 2,5 km con metro directo a Valencia (que esta a 30km).
Podemos poner a disposición de la persona voluntaria una bicicleta si la necesitara.
