  Beschreibung

  The farm with four buildings and 0.6 ha of land was built 1802. I have bought it in 09/2009. Ever since then, work has never stopped and I try to rebuild it the old-fashioned way (lots of clay) and keep all I can. I also have a big garden with veggies and herbs. There is always plenty of jobs and projects to do. There are a lot of jobs in winter as well. I have a piano and need someone to teach me, I have lots acoustic guitars and would like to play more. I love to go rock climbing!
  
  I am currrently looking for help with the living room, the plaster needs to come down and it needs to be rendered again with clay and also cement/lime by hand.
  
  I am also looking for people to join me and build a community here, because the farm needs people! At the moment, I am alone on the farm recovering from Long Covid and trying to get back to normal again. I could really do with some help because even though I can exist without major restrictions, I am not back to my full capacity yet.
  
  I have two big black Labrador- and Ridgeback Mixes. So you have to love and be able to handle dogs if you want to come live and help here.
  
  I expect help for at least 5hrs a day, 5 days. If you want to help less, you can do so but will have to pay for food.
  
  I do not have a philosophy about life except live and let live and make the best out of what I have. And I am happy to share my wonderful place :)

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  I am learning by doing and have been restoring the house the old fashioned way. I got most of the info by research and from old books, people who told me and I am willing to share my information. You can learn how to work with clay, learn about herbs and veggies, pruning, woodworking, welding, electrics...
  I play the guitar and would love to have fellow musicians here so we can have a good time around the camp-fire on the weekends in the evening in summertime. I also love rock climbing and if you like it, too, I can show you some famous Saxon rock climbing spots in the area and also in the Elbsandsteingebirge.
  The town of Penig has about 1000 inhabitants and is situated in middle Saxony along the river "Mulde between Leipzig (65km) and Chemnitz (15km). There are lots of interesting things to see around here and we like to take helpers on daytrips to some of our local castles or go geocaching.

  Arbeit

  Garden help (ride the mower!), harvesting, (according to season), prune and cut trees, cooking, household work, rendering/plastering outside walls, cutting firewood, repair and make doors and windows, paint, insulation of attic, digging, lots more. I have indian runner ducks and three dogs, so help with animal care is also appreciated.
  
  Help in the house with cleaning and cooking is also much appreciated! I can cook for vegans, but not all the time. My vegetarian cooking skills are ok, too. I usually eat lots of salad and veg from the garden so you will not starve. I love to bake and there is usually more food around than I can eat. I like inviting my friends and cook for them. I enjoy learning new recipes from helpers, too.
  
  I like to take people on board for at least a month and longer, if it works out for everyone.

  I expect you to work by yourselves as independently as possible. I obviously show you things but I do not want to have to supervise you all the time.
