We are family run agro tourism center, close to the city of Mumbai in India. We are into farming , unique experiences( with agriculture as the derivative) and sumptuous local food.We believe in keeping the planet green and facilitating urban dwellers with original agro based experiences.
I am a software engineer who loves to be creative and also a qualified yoga instructor. And my father in law is a retired central government official , also farmer. Together we form the think tank of this project.

    What is the project?

As mentioned above the basic purpose of the project is to facilitate urban population with original agriculture based experiences. The farm is spread over 13 Acres and is located at Karanjon, Vajreshwari off the Mumbai Ahmedabad highway. The experiences that agro tourists can have with us are rice farming, poultry, fruit orchards, seasonal farming, fishing, cow herding, goatery, birdwatching, tribal arts, camps, stargazing etc. The agro tourism centre is well equipped with a number of accommodations like single rooms, dormitories, special rooms and washrooms.
There is a common kitchen where the local tribal and regional fare is served. This place is renowned for its delicious food, especially veg curries, dal and the special adivasi style mutton. We also provide unique experiences like tribal paintings, nature trails, paddy farming lessons etc. Our focus has always been on energy conservation, green energy, proper waste disposal, recycling of plastic and other similar thoughts.

We have a permanent staff of 12 people including a facility manager, host, landscaper, helper, servers and others. We have 4 local ladies working on contract basis as cooks.

    Why do we need volunteers?

We are expanding. We are building new structures and revamping our old structures. We are getting more and more into horticulture. We want to have better landscaping, more gardens, more green produce. We will need volunteers for construction, gardening, horticulture, landscaping and allied areas. We will provide basic accommodation, food and a unique opportunity to have a unique experience. This has always been a safe place amongst friendly villages and hence has always been a favourite among the agro tourists who have come here.
You will be expected to work for4-5 hrs a day. There are many interesting places like the Vajreshwari temple, Ganeshpuri hot springs, Tungareshwar wild life sanctuary and water falls in very close vicinity. So if you enjoy getting your hands dirty with earth, or if you have some experience in construction / building or if you only want to be a part of our journey, we welcome you with open arms and warm hearts.
