Share my hippie life in Maruggio, Italy

  Hello,
  I’m Ector (44) and I live in Maruggio, in the province of Taranto (Puglia). I'm half Italian and half Spanish and I came to Puglia a few years ago cause I feel there is still something real and authentic here. I share the project I’m going to talk to you about with Simona, who lives in Manduria (8 km away) and is often here. She's from here and she also came back to the roots a few years ago. We love simplicity, nature, and critical/artistic/nonconformist thinking :)
  THE PLACE:
  MARUGGIO: here we have a tiny house with 6.000 mts of land full of olive trees, fruit, some chickens, dogs and maybe - hopefully - a few more animals sooner or later (donkeys would be great!), some campers scattered around - a big one with heaters inside very comfortable to live in. It's here that guests sleep when they visit us (or in their own van/camper) cause the house is super small - just a pied à terre. When we're not there, they can move into the house of course! The place is into the countryside but you can see the town at eye-distance (10 minutes walking to the city centre, 20/30 minutes walking to the crystal Ionian sea of Campomarino).
  WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR HERE IN MARUGGIO? Basically somebody who can help with daily maintance of the place and be there with the dogs when we plan something overnight or a trip. The routine goes around some simple harvest, poop cleaning, maybe weeding or cleaning the garden, feed the chickens.
  
  ARE YOU THE ONE WHO:
  - can stay with us for a long period after an initial trial period of a few days (maybe a week?);
  - is/are autonomous, independent, and willing to agree on a minimum number of weekly working hours, with flexibility – and responsible maturity – on both sides;
  - is/are flexible about food (we provide meals but we hope to find reasonable and flexible people who can sometimes make up for some of our shortcomings or satisfy their own specific desires occasionally);
  - loves/love country life and shares the values connected to it;
  - loves/love animals and plants and preferably has some basic knowledge of how to care for both – especially love dogs and cats and is available to take care of them (food, affection, maybe some walks) if we have to be away for a few days;
  - has/have the maturity to embark on this type of adventure, sharing doubts, problems, and difficulties with respect towards themselves and us.
  
  What do we offer:
  -accommodation in a camper with a stove;
  -land with spring water from an artesian well. We refill drinkable water from the nearest fountain.
  -proximity to the Ionian Sea of Salento (2.5 kms from Maruggio, 10 kms from Manduria);
  -introduction into our community (Maruggio/Manduria) and possibly into active community projects;
  - the chance to start personal projects within the place, using the already existing APS;
  - food and beverage.

  Public transports are not the best in the south of Italy. However, the town of Maruggio is very close by and you can easily walk there or cycle to the beach.

  Kann Digital Nomads unterbringen

  Digital nomads are welcome but keep in mind that Maruggio is not a place conceived for that (but Manduria is, we have wifi in Manduria). People in Maruggio have their own internet connection and the desks provided are those found in the camper or spotted around in the land when the weather is fine (most of the time from April to October - then it could be rainy but it's still a very mild winter). Different thing in Manduria where you have wifi - as said - and your own room. But if you look for the wild and nature life go for Maruggio!
