Hello, future adventurers!
My name is Katerine, and I am the founder of this place, a dream come true in the heart of the Carretera Austral: I am a Nature Tourism Technician, a professional guide, and passionate about sharing the magic of Patagonia in a safe and respectful way.
This year, our project has taken a giant step forward: in addition to our equipment rental shop, we are now officially operating and managing the Campsite, located right at the main entrance of the majestic Cerro Castillo National Park. This campsite is now our base of operations and your future home!
From here, we offer a complete experience to travelers:
Campsite Management: We welcome tourists from all over the world who come to experience the park.
Outdoor Equipment Rental: We provide everything you need to explore the mountains directly from the trailhead.
Key Information Point: We are the first point of contact for adventurers, offering advice, maps, and the best energy to begin their expedition.
We are three members: Santiago, my 5-year-old son, La Mami (Monica, in charge of the coffee machine), and me, Kati, the campsite manager and administrator.

Mi nombre es Katerine, y soy la fundadora , un sueño hecho realidad en el corazón de la Carretera Austral: Soy Técnico en Turismo de Naturaleza, guía profesional y una apasionada por compartir la magia de la Patagonia de una manera segura y respetuosa.
Este año, nuestro proyecto ha dado un paso gigante: además de nuestra tienda de arriendo de equipo , ahora estamos operando y gestionando oficialmente el Camping, ubicado justo en la entrada principal del majestuoso Parque Nacional Cerro Castillo. ¡Este camping es ahora nuestra base de operaciones y tu futuro hogar!
Desde aquí, ofrecemos una experiencia completa a los viajeros:
Gestión del Camping: Recibimos a turistas de todo el mundo que vienen a vivir la experiencia del parque.
Arriendo de Equipo Outdoor: Proveemos todo lo necesario para explorar las montañas directamente desde la entrada del sendero.
Punto de Información Clave: Somos el primer contacto para los aventureros, ofreciendo consejos, mapas y la mejor energía para empezar su expedición.
Somos 3 integrantes: Santiago, mi hijo peque;o de 5 a;os, La Mami (Monica, encargada de la cafetera) y yo, Kati gestora y administradora del camping.

Inmersión total en la Patagonia: Estarás en la primera línea de la aventura. El sendero a una de las lagunas más famosas de Chile comenzará a pasos de tu puerta.
Aprende de una profesional: Te compartiré mi conocimiento como guía y operadora turística. Aprenderás sobre la gestión de un camping en un área protegida, logística de expediciones y atención al cliente en un entorno de montaña.
Acceso a equipo outdoor: En tu tiempo libre, podrás usar nuestro equipo para explorar a fondo el Parque Nacional. ¡Las montañas serán literalmente tu patio trasero!
Práctica del español: Inmersión lingüística garantizada, interactuando constantemente con viajeros de habla hispana y con nuestro equipo.
Ser parte de una comunidad: Te integrarás a la vibrante comunidad de viajeros y locales que giran en torno al parque.

Type of help we need:
We are looking for enthusiastic and proactive people who want to immerse themselves in the life of a national park. Your role will be fundamental to the visitor experience and will focus on the campsite:
Campsite Host: You will be the face of this place. You will welcome campers, manage their reservations, assign them a site, and explain the park rules and the "Leave No Trace" principles.
Site Maintenance: Helping to keep common areas (restrooms, camping area, shelter) clean and tidy is crucial. You will also assist with small maintenance tasks on nearby trails.
Equipment Rental Management: From the campsite, you will help travelers select the correct equipment (tents, sleeping bags, walking sticks), explaining its use and keeping records.
General Support: In such a dynamic place, there is always something to do. We are looking for initiative-minded people to help where it is most needed, from organizing the equipment storage to sharing a mate with travelers.

We are looking for someone who is:
A true nature lover who enjoys the outdoors and rural settings.
Sociable, with an excellent attitude and patience when dealing with people.
Very responsible, proactive, and able to solve problems independently.
With a level of Spanish that allows them to communicate (and a desire to improve it!).
Enthusiastic about the idea of living in a place with limited internet access and more connected to the cycles of nature.

Tipo de ayuda que necesitamos:
Buscamos personas entusiastas y proactivas que quieran sumergirse en la vida de un parque nacional. Tu rol será fundamental para la experiencia del visitante y se centrará en el camping:
Anfitrión del Camping: Serás la cara visible de. Recibirás a los campistas, gestionarás sus reservas, les asignarás un sitio y les explicarás las normas del parque y los principios "No Deje Rastro".
Mantenimiento del Sitio: Ayudar a mantener las áreas comunes (baños, zona camping, refugio) limpias y ordenadas es crucial. También colaborarás en pequeñas tareas de mantenimiento de los senderos cercanos.
Gestión de Arriendo de Equipo: Desde el mismo camping, ayudarás a los viajeros a elegir el equipo correcto (carpas, sacos, bastones), explicando su uso y llevando un registro.
Apoyo General: En un lugar tan dinámico, siempre hay algo que hacer. Buscamos gente con iniciativa para ayudar donde más se necesite, desde organizar la bodega de equipos hasta compartir un mate con los viajeros.

Unterkunft
Camping. We'll provide it. (tents, sleeping bag, sleeping mat, and whatever else you need)
The accommodation is at a campsite, but this can also be on a rotating basis, as we have Un Refugio, the house where we live.
There are 3 meals a day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner).
5 hours of collaboration per day can be arranged by shift and/or day.
2 days off.
And if you'd like to cook part of the meal, we can also provide the ingredients you need.
