Beschreibung
** Looking for spiritual and handy people for house sitting during summer 2026. We'll be at home only few days but you will meet our friends and possibly participate to holistic events around**
Here you can get in touch with the following disciplines: ayurvedic nutrition, biomagnetism, Bach flowers and kinesiology.
We are Alberto and Vida, recently married, I'm italian-uruguayan and Vida is from Cuba.
I'm a naturopath, Vida is a pianist, both educators, experts in ayurvedic nutrition and wannabe permaculturists. We live in Abruzzo where we have a 300 square meter garden with some small permaculture beds and during the winter we usually move to Cuba where we manage different activities related to ayurveda, natural agronomy and education collaborating with several community projects.
Our place in Val di Sangro is not in the middle of the countryside... it's next to a hill full of olive trees that borders a commercial and industrial area. We often go to explore the surrounding natural places (Abruzzo is famous for his beautiful parks) but if you want to be immersed in nature on a farm, this is not exactly the place for you. Sometimes we visit some friends from ecovillages around Abruzzo and Lazio or we go to Rome where we have other artistic activities going on.
Right now we prefer to host handy people with good manual skills who are already good at cooking and who want to learn how to cook following Ayurveda principles, with natural and healthy ingredients (also wild plants). We are looking for someone independent, strong, not picky, interested in simple life, yoga, arts, who want to work making natural products, simple DIY... creating, repairing, recycling and reusing anything ;)
In particular we need to turn a 40 sq m storeroom by the garden into a new studio for travellers passing by. We also need to improve our web presence that is quite poor for our next project, which consists on bringing Ayurveda nutrition to ecovillages around Europe. -

You will help around of 25 hours per week with 2 days off, having the opportunity to organize your time alone or in our company to visit historical and natural places around (beach - river - mountain).
**HOUSE SITTING HELP**
Our pantry and garden are always full of fresh, beneficial ingredients that you are welcome to use as you wish during your stay. For regular days, when your duties are limited to simple tasks like watering the plants (approx 2 to 3 hours per day), we kindly ask you to complement the available ingredients with your own food. However, on busier days when we focus on projects like painting or greenbuilding, we will provide plenty of food. -

° you will sleep alone in one room of the apartment or you will share the room with other volunteers
° eventually if there are many of us you will sleep on a mattress / sofa / tent in the garden
° it is better that you bring your sleeping bag and your yoga mat
° normally we all eat together but sometimes you will cook and eat on your own
° we use vegetarian / vegan ingredients, trying to avoid industrial food
° in addition to our own production, we barter or buy organic fruits and vegetables from nearby farmers -
