  I am Suren, originally from Pokhara. I have been working in the tourism industry since 2002 and now run a homestay in Kathmandu as well as a trekking agency, which now also has an office in Pokhara.
  
  At the moment I have two projects going on that I need your help with. Just get in touch with me to find out what work is available at the moment.
  
  The first is my restaurant in Lakeside Pokhara with a nice garden area to relax as well as a vegetable garden where we grow our own ingredients. Since it's still quite new and a bit hidden behind the street, I need help with online marketing and organizing special offers and events like yoga classes, live concerts or similar. So if you are knowledgeable about online marketing, know how to create appealing social media content, are a yoga teacher, artist/musician, or can offer something similar for our restaurant customers, we could really benefit from your help.
  
  I have recently started a new project for which I am also looking for volunteers. Very close to Lakeside, I have a property with a beautiful view of Lake Phewa. We plan to build a yoga retreat center there, but are still in the early stages of the project and already have the first cabins and fences on the property. The vision for this place is set and we are looking for volunteers to join us on the journey to bring our vision to life.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  Most of the construction work is done by ethnic workers in a cultural way, so it would be nice for the travelers to experience the Nepalese culture. You will have a chance to be close to the local people and experience the local life and authentic Nepalese cuisine. There are nepalese festivals that we celebrate in our property that the travelers can participate in to get to know the nepalese traditions and cultural values better.

  Arbeit

  As mentioned in the description, we have two types of projects ongoing for which we need help.
  
  For the first project building a yoga retreat center we have already set up basic cottages and there are some local workers working with us. We are looking for someone who can help us with landscaping ideas, designing the houses, designing gardens and agriculture, gardening and decorating exterior and interior spaces. It would also be great if someone knows about construction from bamboo. We employ Nepali workers for bamboo construction and it would be great to have new creative ideas for them. Someone with social media skills can also help us promote our project online.
  
  Our restaurant in Lakeside needs help getting it known around town. We would like to promote the restaurant itself as well as special events (yoga classes, live music, dancing sessions, cooking workshops, family events, … ) or offers to attract more guests to our hidden oasis. For this we need to improve our online presence, fill our social network accounts with quality content and optimize our website. We are also attending events in Lakeside and want to draw attention to our restaurant there.

  Unterkunft

  We have some cabins on our property that we will use as accommodation for volunteers. Volunteers will share the cabins having a room with 2 single beds. Depending on the current situation, a room in Lakeside near the restaurant may also be available. We will provide 3 meals and accommodation in exchange for 25 hours of work per week. Volunteers can also contribute their cooking skills if they wish. We will grow most of the vegetables on our farm ourselves.

  There are many small walks around which travelers can do during their free time. Pokhara is also known for its nightlife, so they can easily walk to the center which takes like 25mins or take local buses. Pokhara is also known as the city of seven lakes, travelers can rent a scooter to go for some beautiful lakes and waterfalls sites.
