  Beschreibung

  The main idea of the hotel focuses on the concept of integration into both in the surrounding local community and nature. The hotel is built and worked on by locals with acacia, palm wood and thatched roofs from the area.
  
  We aim to be self-sustainable by design and produce some of our food. We will produce renewable energy soon and have a basic recycling and composting system set in place already which is giving us a lot of enthusiasm when trying to shape up Unique as the sustainableand innovative property we aim to be. Overall, we are using innovative ways to develop a very unique experience, here in El Valle, Samana, Dom Rep.
  
  Our staff consists of people with various cultural backgrounds:,
  * Alessa, our local manager,
  * Patricia, our massages and yoga instructor, from Peru,
  * Eminencio, our local gardener and cleaning man,
  * Wili, our local cook,
  * Ale Javier, our local tour guide,
  * Juanca, our local marketing man,
  
  The hotel is located in El Valle. El Valle is really easy to reach from the capital Santo Domingo. You just have to take the CaribeTours bus to Samaná (about a 3 hour drive) and continue your travel with a private motoconcho driver from the market, who will bring you directly to the Hotel (might need some Spanish to communicate)
  
  El Valle is a small town of farmers and fishermen and only 25 minutes from Samaná. It is an exotic place in which to lose yourself among its magical corners of waterfalls, mountains, rivers, lagoons, caves and a long list of natural wonders.
  
  If you come, please bring a book worth reading in English or Spanish, if you have one. We are trying to create a public book exchange in our chill & read area.

  We are a small and local hotel business in the beautiful peninsula of Samaná, Dominican Republic and would like to give some travellers the possibility to become part of the developing process of this special eco experience.
  
  Our hotel existed for some years now, but is still new. It is the perfect place to enjoy the wonders of nature, learn from our eco-sustainable project, help in its development and influence us with all your positive vibes and energy.
  
  A really unique experience where you can experience life through the shoes of the locals. A good place for you to come and find how you can best use your capabilities to add value to this hotel. We are a pretty new hotel that is still in the process of establishing structure but we are gaining exposure rapidly and are ready to bring people into the team that are ready to stay for a while, so you would be able to get used to the volunteer work and the way of life. Also for you to grow and feel like you have gotten to spend enough time in this special place that is El Valle. Besides this hotel, which has 10 rooms, we have 2 other places that are joined with our hotel. One is a hostel that fits 24 people and another is our beach house that has 3 rooms. That is just a fun fact for you to know us a little better! We are very team oriented! We are like a family here and love to do things together and help each other. We leave area for improvement for travelers like you to be able to come here and have a unique experience. We believe there is a special vibration here in this beautiful peninsula of Samana that attracts interesting people and interesting experiences. But the key is being open-minded because the cultural experience is very different. It is very free and fun- loving.
  
  Because we are a fairly new hotel we mostly have guests closer to the weekends, so you will have more free time.

  We are currently looking for volunteers to become part of the Unique family & experience.
  
  We search for the following help of experienced volunteers with a minimum stay of 3 months
  
  * We are looking for a host/ guest entertainer! Someone who can hangout with our guests and help create a positive atmosphere and show them around during arrival
  
  * We are looking for a artist enthusiast! -- someone who has a lot of creativity and is innovative. We're looking for ways to make more eco-friendly things and using directly what is here in this jungle environment to decorate the natural existing beauty.
  
  
  We encourage creative minds around here and are willing to help if you want to start your own project on-site and we would be grateful for your ideas
  
  Please be aware that we have only few guests occasionally, because we are still a new hotel. On some days there will be more work to do , and on other days, especially in July, there will be less work, but we always need and appreciate your help.
  
  We are very grateful for volunteers with genuine initiative
  
  Your contribution is based on bringing joy and positive energy to this beautiful project. That's why we need multidisciplinary people with initiative and care for Eco concepts who want to enjoy the wonders of this hidden tropical paradise with us!

  Unterkunft

  We offer free accommodation in our rooms, both private and shared accommodation depending on the number of volunteers we have, but it should be private normally.
  
  Of course we have clean towels and clean linen, soap and toilet paper for you always!
  
  You will have access to the hotel kitchen where you can cook. And breakfast is provided as well as dinner on days that we have guests.

  Was noch ...

  Local beach nearby, as well as modes of transportation if you would like to go into town, to waterfalls, other beaches or other cities. The bus system here is called a Gua Gua which runs through the city. There are motoconchos (motorcycle taxis) that can get you into el valle for cheap or to surrounding areas.
