Beschreibung
Our beautiful Hostel is in the heart of Samara just 50 m from the beach. There are always lots of people coming and going, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and comfortable place.
The Hostel has 5 private rooms and 2 Dorms, there is lots of space outside to hang out and its very close to shops, bars and restaurants.

Essentially, we want you to gain the experience of what it's like to manage a beach hostel. Keeping the appearance of a clean and tidy hostel is a challenge then you're exposed to the elements which need quick thinking and action during times such as flooding during rainy seasons. Every day you will have language exchanges (guests speak all kind of languages). We will show you the town and surrounding areas, so you will experience the Costa Rican beauty and culture. You will meet lots of locals as people from all over the world. Our hostel has a very special vibe. Travellers have a hard time leaving it. You will be a driving force in helping us maintain the wonderful atmosphere we have here. There may be times where your responsibility involves educating and or enforcing some hostel rules, but those responsibilities are all of ours at the same time. We look forward to meeting you.

The volunteer will be joining our regular team, which is us (the owners). We all work closely together as a team in reception management, checking guests in and out, helping them with info on trips, buses etc., housekeeping, maintenance, waste management, gardening and building projects. Your help hours would be 25/week.
Minimum of 4 weeks.
Most important is that you are motivated to help out and want to contribute to a good atmosphere of the Hostel.
We are looking for mature and responsible people ideally with minimum age of 23, preferably previous experience in service industry, travel wise, handywork, good level in English and Spanish. In the Hostel you have the chance to improve all of your languages with guests, employees and local friends.
IMPORTANT: We usually schedule our Volunteers 1 month in advance so we will usually only respond to applications 1 month in advance. However, if we are in need we would consider appropriate volunteers at anytime.

Unterkunft
The volunteer gets a free bed in either the shared accommodation (dormitory) or Volunteer room (1 bunkbed).
You can use the kitchen and do your laundry for free when it's not being used for work.

It is such a nice place for a traveler/foreigner to stay for a while. It's not a very big tourist place, you get to feel at home easily and will get know people fast. Lots of people get stuck here :)
There are beginner waves to surf, yoga classes, Spanish classes, Gym and lots of nice places to hang out, eat and drink.
It's important that the volunteer has a good time, but at the same time when helping out at the hostel he/she knows responsibilities.
