I've been staying with this lovely family since September. They welcomed me with open arms and made me feel like family from the beginning, so I decided to come back after a Christmas break for an additional 6 months.

The 3 kids speak English really well now, even the smallest (4yo) can tell me stories in English! They are very talkative too and they learn so fast. They are very energetic and playful.
The garden is huge and the two dogs are super lovely. The house is right next to the beach so you can enjoy the sea in your free time. The train station is really close and it's very easy to go to Barcelona.Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

Jan is an excellent guy. He is very formal as a volunteer, always committed to do his best, even to make kids understand which are the priorities in every moment. Our experience with him has been very satisfying and positive, he stayed at home for some weeks but he immediately became a member of our family. He likes kids and kids like him! They
… read more enjoyed altogether, specially when playing with Legos or outside in the garden. He is very respectful and is always willing to share his experiences in life, which is something we appreciate as a family so we can understand all kind of realities. We will be happy to meet Jan again in the future, we are very thankful to him and recommend him as an aupair/babysitter/volunteer to any family looking for some support.

I stayed one month with the family and had a great time overall! We spent much time together and I was integrated in the family and their daily life well. I could enjoy some nice dishes and learned quite a lot about the Catalan culture.
The kids are super nice and didn't make it too difficult for me:) I accompanied them to school, picked them up
… read more and spent some time in the garden (the weather is incredible, even in December!) or played some games with them in the afternoons after school.
I was able to spend one day a week in Barcelona, which is a great city. Only for this and the whole region, ist worth it to travel there. I also did some hikes and walks, the house is in a perfect place for activities like this. And not to forget: the sea is 20 meter away from the house, I watched the the sunrise every morning from the breakfast table..wow!
In general, all my wishes and questions got answered and I felt that I was in good hands.
Thank you for everything and I'm sure well meet again some day!

Teresa and Pere's family is exceptional, joyful, welcoming and so much more. They directly made me feel at home and as if I was part of their family. I was there for about a month and a half. And what I can say about my stay is that everyone there is super nice, patient, helpful, and open minded. Teresa and Pere made amazing dishes. We played cards, monopoly, I had great conversations with everyone.
The place is really nice. It is very easy to get around, to go to Barcelona for example without a car and the beach is right next door. The family gave me access to one of their bikes and a kayak and although I didn't use it, it's good to know that I could use them. Big plus, you have your own room. And the bedroom is really well placed so that you can be independent and can go out at any time without disturbing anyone in the house.
My main "job" when I was there was to bring the children to school and play with them. The kids were pretty easygoing so nothing to difficult. If you like kids I would say go for it, this is the perfect workaway.
You also have a lot of free time, so for someone who wants to have an activity on the side, to visit the places, I think it's totally manageable and the family is quite flexible, I think if you talk to them about your project you will inevitably come to a common ground.
