Colin and Yong Da stayed with us for nearly a week. We thoroughly enjoyed their company never without a smile and a joke or two. Great attitudes- very curious and inquisitive which was great we enjoyed sharing our simple life with them. Yong Da and Colin were amazing with our 4 year old and Colin is a real foodie and loves to cook together they

This was the first workaway experience for my friend and I. We both enjoyed it so much and I'm even seriously considering coming back in the Summer. The work was tough, and included moving firewood, weeding, hedge cutting, and collecting sheep poo and seaweed for compost.
In return for 4 hours of work a day, we got to sleep in a cosy room in
… read more their home, and 3 good meals a day. They were accommodating to my friend's dietary requirements (he's a vegetarian), when many hosts had rejected us simply because of that. The night before we collected sheep poo, Kwon asked us if we were ok with it and said that we didn't need to do it if we weren't comfortable with it. It was also a very interesting learning experience for 2 city boys to learn their more manual way of life, and Kwon and Rosie were always willing to share when we had questions about their gardens, animals, or even Rosie's soapmaking business.
On one of the days after work, Kwon brought us to a nearby beach and showed us how to catch Paua, which he cooked for us in garlic butter after we got back. They really treated us like family and we even had lunch with Kwon's extended family one day after work. Elsie was a joy to be around, with such a creative mind for a 4 year old girl.
Saying goodbye to this family was probably more difficult than collecting sheep poo, as they had really made us feel right at home there, even though we had only been there a week. I would really recommend this Workaway to anyone.Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.

Staying with Rosie and the family was a really nice experience. They are very sweet and generous people. We got a lot of great food because they were both chef and great when it comes to cooking. We got spoiled.
The daughter is really sweet as well and fun :)
The work was exhausting but it was great to see some results. Thanks a lot for the

Staying with Oh's family gets pretty close to staying in a fairyland. Surrounded by fruit trees, wild meadow flowers and all kinds of animals, their cottage with stained glass windows is every child's dream. Scents of Rosie's handmade soaps float throughout the whole place, making it even more dreamlike and Elsie won't hesitate to drag you into

Because of the overall friendly and relaxed atmosphere created by Rosie and Kwon, days went by faster than we would have wished. We felt very well in their company and enjoyed our time spent together very much. The work is diverse and everyday there is a new adventure, be it in the garden or on the beaches around. Exchanging recipes or reading books for Elsie was all a great pleasure to do and we would definitely do it again.Du kannst nur Workawayer mit aktiver Mitgliedschaft kontaktieren.
