Located just blocks from the Pacific Ocean, it has just celebrated 20 years in Sayulita, Nayarit, Mexico. After making Mexico my home for years, it's time for me to spend some time with my family in the U.S.
Working alongside my one locally-paid staff (Yolanda has been cleaning the hostel for me for decades), I'm looking for someone who is able to help check guests in, do some very light cleaning (Yolanda takes care of the majority of the cleaning), and look after my sweet and energetic yellow lab, Haji.
I'd like for someone to start as soon as possible and stay for a few months, at least through October, but there is plenty of opportunity for a longer stay if you'd like. I'll be available by phone, SMS, or any other messaging service you prefer to stay in touch with you throughout your stay. The hostel has a great record of hosting awesome temp-workers who have found a home and a community in Sayulita. I am happy to put you in touch with some people as references who can speak to their time at the hostel and in Sayulita if you'd like!
ABOUT THE HOSTEL
It is a beautiful, colorful, open-air house turned tiny hostel. It has a waterfall and plenty of trees. The house has an open air kitchen, hot water, and surf boards for guests. We're the most pet-friendly place to stay in Sayulita!
ABOUT THE TOWN
Sayulita is a tropical fishing village and surfing mecca just a short drive north of Puerto Vallarta. It has amazing food and drink options that range from street tacos and Corona to artisanal cocktails and lobster. There is truly something for everyone in this once quaint and quiet town that is now sophisticated and high energy.

From interacting with our Mexican staff and service providers to guests from around the world, you'll have an experience that is equally Mexican and global. You'll have plenty of opportunity to learn or practice Spanish if you'd like as well as a good chance of meeting people who speak languages from around the world.
Adventure pet lover who enjoys interacting with one 80 pound male athletic golden retriever. Good with consistent exercise and commands.

We have excellent internet here. Many guests are digital nomads and work or study from the casa. There are also several coffee shops with strong internet as well as multiple co-working spaces if you need.
We are a pet friendly hotelito that happily accepts dogs and cats. If you're traveling with a different kind of pet, reach out! We're happy to find something that works for the right person.
