  We're a lively, talkative and socially outgoing family with lots of activities and 'balls in the air' all the time. :-D
  Our family consists of 2 adults, Kerstin & Tomas, and 4 children (a girl born in July 2009, a girl born in February 2021 and twins, a girl and a boy, born in March 2024). We usually have lots of ongoing DIY projects and during spring and summer we also do vegetable gardening. Tomas, the father of the three youngest kids is around to help out when he doesn't work and isn't away on other things.
  Kerstin is very alternative and is very inspired by how indigenous people live and raise their kids, she's also very passionate about becoming as self-sufficient as possible, especially with food. Tomas is more ordinary and like to have more of a "normal" life.
  
  We're located in a log house in the beautiful countryside just outside of the town Järna, 40 min by car South of Stockholm. The walking trail "Sörmlandsleden" is very close to our house, and there are lots of lakes within car- or bikingdistance. Our house is 10 min from the highway E4.
  
  We like to get up early and the three little ones usually wake up between 5-7am. The 3,5 year old goes to kindergarden between 8am to 3:30pm Mond - Fri (all year around except on holidays and throughout July when the kindergarden is closed) and our 15 year old goes to school at 7:30 am and is picked up again between 2:45-3:45pm.
  We usually go to bed very early, around 8-9pm since the kids wake us up early in the morning.
  
  Kerstin is right now a stay at home mother with the twins and need help both with them but also with the 3,5 year old, as well as help with cleaning up and doing dishes after meals (especially in the evening) but also with cooking sometimes since it's quite a handfull.
  If there is interest as well as time and energy left over there's also plenty to do both inside and outside the house.

  We're a lively, talkative, active and socially outgoing family who likes to hang out with the kids and other adults while doing stuff together. We think taking care of kids and doing stuff is so much more fun when you have other adults to talk to. Except working on DIY/selfsufficiency things we love to go on daytrips with the kids (when there is time and energy and the weather allows for it) and also have our workawayer join us to see different things around the area where we live. We prefer to only have one workawayer at a time since we have noticed it makes it easier to connect and integrate into our family. We enjoy it the most when we have a workaway'er who wants to integrate with our family and feel like a family member.
  
  There's a lot to see near where we live, a lot of beautiful nature and lakes/the Baltic Sea if you have your own car or like to walk/bike. It's an antroposofic Mekka with Waldorf schools, architecture and gardening for ex.
  There is quite a rich wildlife not too far away if you go by car, where you can get to see deer, moose and wild boar if you're lucky. Stockholm is of course also pretty close by.
  We can help you find things to do while youre here depending on what you're interested in!

  Arbeit

  If you can put up with a lively and socially outgoing family with lots of balls in the air all the time, you will thrive in our family, welcome to get in touch!! 😃
  We're looking for someone, (right now only a woman), who is socially outgoing and loves to hang out with children and don't mind regular house tasks.
  
  We need help with babysitting, cooking/doing dishes as well as a bit of cleaning/picking up stuff and putting them back in their place since our 3,5 year old make a mess very fast. Especially help with cleaning up in the evening in the kitchen and the living room, while we put the kids to sleep, by putting toys/things back in place, doing the final dishes, cleaning the kitchencounter/table etc. If there's interest as well as time and energy left over there's also a lot of stuff that needs to be taken care of inside and around the house.
  
  We need help from the workaway'er to take care of the twins by herself for 1h after they take wake up from their first nap, usually sometime from 10/10:30 am.
  Then we need help again with all three kids from 4-8pm Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday but then we will caretake the kids together with the workaway'er.
  Sometimes we go on daytrips and then the workaway'er is more than welcome to join us but then the workinghours will be longer than 4-5h/day. If the workaway'er joins us on daytrips we will also provide lunch on those days.
  
  Tuesday and Wednesday are days off for the workaway'er since we don't need any help then.
  
  We eat meat, fish or chicken at most (if not all) meals. We provide breakfast and dinner but the workaway'er needs to take care of their own lunch. Since we usually eat different breakfasts at different times the workaway'er needs to make their own breakfast. Dinner is usually around 5-6pm.

  Unterkunft

  We have a guest room in our house for the workaway'er (sometimes we also have a cabin available during April - September). We usually go to bed around 9-10pm since the kids wake up early and since the house is very hearthrough we expect the workaway'er to go to bed at the same time.
  There is internet and we have a lot of movie channels that the workaway'er can use in her free time.
  We provide sheets, blankets and towel.
  
  We provide food for breakfast and dinner, usually something with meat, chicken or fish, but if you want some special stuff for example candy, cookies or some special/extra fruit etc etc you need to provide that for yourself.
  Usually we eat breakfast at different times but we often eat dinner together (and if the workaway'er joins us the whole day we will also eat lunch together).
  
  We prefer a workaway'er who eat meat and/or fish (preferably both 😃). We have noticed that it's too complicated for us with someone who's vegetarian or vegan since we will have to cook two meals at every meal and cook food that we're not used to cooking. :-)

  Was noch ...

  In the time off you're free to travel around or do whatever you want. We don't have a car to loan out but we have bikes and we can give a ride to the nearest trainstation, that's 5km away in Järna. We try to give a ride at the same time as we're already going somewhere with the car to not have to make an extra trip unless it's necessary.
  We live 40 min by car south of Stockholm or about 1h by train.
  
  We don't provide food on the days/half days you have time off so then you need to take care of your own food!
  We provide food for meals but if you want to eat something special (like candy or some special fruit or dietary needs) you need to provide that for yourself.
  
  We don't accept people being drunk or using drugs while staying with us.
  
  We want non-smokers since we're a smoke-free home!
  
  We also expect you to help with house tasks like cleaning, helping with dishes after every meal, cooking for everyone and cleaning up after yourself before you depart.
