  We are Bryant & Anke, a Mexican-Belgian couple, and in January 2026 we opened our hostel, ready to share it with travelers and visitors from all over the world. For now, we live on site and are the only permanent staff in the hostel, besides you, our future volunteer! We're pretty relaxed and easy going with our guests and we like to make people feel comfortable, as if they were at home. Our hostel is small, friendly, comfortable and creative + located in the heart of San José del Cabo, at a 15-minute walk from Plaza Mijares in the touristic historical centre & only a 10 minute bus ride away to the best beaches in the area.
  
  We aim for our hostel to be a place to relax and chill, feel comfortable and at home, while at the same time being a hub to meet new adventure buddies, explore Los Cabos & experience the best of Baja California Sur.
  
  The hostel is small but very comfortable and has everything you need to enjoy life in Los Cabos! Our front terrace with plenty of flowers & shade attracts the occasional hummingbird visitor and is the ideal place to sip some coffee and enjoy the daily breakfast. There's a garden, which houses our two glamping rooms & has the perfect patio for game nights and evenings shared with hostel friends. Our shared kitchen is fully equipped and had some guests & volunteers go into full-on baking mode. There's two brand new bathrooms and the rooms have soft, comfy beds. You can choose between waking up with the sound of birds and sunlight in the glamping dorm or having a bit of privacy behind curtains in the 8-bed dorm.
  
  Los Cabos is a true nature and adventure lovers' paradise! Whales migrate south during winter, all the way to the warmer waters of the Gulf of California and pass by San José on their way: yes, whale breechings can be seen from the nearest beaches! Marine life galore: there's the mobula ray migrations and year round you'll spot dolphins; you might even catch sight of some orcas (or go looking for sword fish), and there's always sea lions hanging around, just as plenty of colorful fish... the ideal place to be if you like diving & snorkeling! And we didn't even talk about the hiking, camping, waterfalls, hot springs, deserted beaches, weekly art walk, rancho life and magical villages + the BEST sunsets in Mexico yet...you won't easily get bored :)

  We’re a Mexican-Belgian duo hosting you, so we can offer you insights in Mexican culture and language, Mexican food, the culture of Baja California Sur and slang + different customs, we have some excellent tips for traveling around Baja California Sur (and other parts of Mexico); as well as offer a language exchange in case anyone wants to speak French, Dutch or German, besides Spanish & English.
  
  As a volunteer, you'll lead some of the social activities organized in the hostel and we are looking into organizing day trips by the end of the year. Once those are up and running, we want our volunteers to have the chance to go on at least one day trip during their stay.

  WANTED An awesome, fun, hard working, friendly and easy going person who loves exploring a new environment and doesn't shy away from a dirty toilet or two.
  
  As a small and new hostel we are looking for volunteers to help us grow our hostel, build a community and offer the best of Baja to our guests. That's why we need truly energetic, passionate people to help us keep this place going and maintain our high standards of customer service. Our goal since the start is to become one of the most loved hostels in Los Cabos and the whole of Baja California Sur. We hope you want to join our team and help us reach our goal! We believe good customer service is one of the biggest reasons behind success, and we're committed to maintain a high standard of services in all guest experiences and interactions. We're looking for friendly people who share our passion for traveling, food, enjoy meeting other travelers and are able to speak conversational English + Spanish. We only accept awesome, fun, hard working, friendly, active travelers. Why? They’re the soul of our hostel!
  
  Since we're such a small hostel, our volunteers have to be able to carry out a variety of tasks. We'll expect you to:
  
  • Carry out reception duties: help with check-in & check-out
  • Give tours of the hostel after check-in and explain the workings of the hostel to new guests
  • Keep the hostel shiny, sparkly clean (this includes toilets...)
  • Be responsible for cash & counting money
  • Housekeeping & laundry duties (change bed sheets, fold washed sheets, ...)
  • Keep plants alive
  • Give information to other guests and socialize with them ;)
  • Lead some of our free activities (or invent some)
  • Enjoy your time in Los Cabos!
  
  Volunteers work 20 hours per week, divided in shifts of 5 hours: 7h00 - 12h00 / 12h00 - 17h00 / 17h00 - 22h00 and additionally, carry out one free activity a week. In general, shifts will be spread over 4 days with 3 days off, but we're open to discuss any other needs. When you volunteer with us, we hope you'll fall in love with the Baja Peninsula, just like we did, and we want you to have the time to explore - solo or with newly made hostel friends - and make unforgettable memories of your time in Los Cabos.

  Unterkunft

  We offer you a bed in our 8-bed dorm with bunk beds (each bed has privacy curtains, a personal locker, a personal shelf, nightlight and plug) and A/C (during summer).
  
  Besides that, volunteers enjoy all the meals our guests get: a daily breakfast and free drinking water, coffee & tea. Of course, you'll participate in all extra free meals organized by the hostel (pizza night!) and basic cooking ingredients: salt, pepper, cooking oil, eggs, flour... Volunteers can use our rental gear (beach umbrella, snorkel gear) free of charge if not used by the guests, as well as use the laundry machine after the hostel's laundry has been done.

  We don't have a parking space, but you can park right in front of the hostel on the street in a very safe area. We also have a camping spot available and are willing to discuss different needs.
