I am a yoga teacher, I live alone with my two cats, but for the rest of the year my father, his wife, his dog and his cat are staying at home.
I really enjoy hiking and listening to music at home.
I have a small flat with an excellent view in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
Here in Ushuaia it is not easy to find people to help you with all those little things around the house that are still pending, that's why I liked the idea of being able to exchange. After more than a year of Workaway experience, I already have a list of things to do with the guests, I really enjoy everything that can be created and improved together.

Soy profe de yoga, vivo sola con mis dos gatos, pero por lo que resta del año mi padre, su esposa, su perra y su gato están quedándose en casa.
Me gusta mucho el senderismo y escuchar música en casa.
Tengo un departamento pequeño, con una vista excelente en una de las ciudades con los paisajes más lindos.
Aquí en Ushuaia no es fácil conseguir personas que te ayuden con todas esas cositas de la casa que quedan pendientes, por eso me gustó la idea de poder intercambiar. Luego de más de un año de experiencia Workaway ya directamete tengo lista de cosas para hacer con los huéspedes, disfruto mucho de todo lo que se puede crear y mejorar juntos.

Oh, there are so many things to do! After so much experience with Workaway we have seen that many people think they know more than they really do and, unfortunately, they also get angry. So, for a good stay I recommend you to read carefully what is in brackets:
Activities:
- Improvements in the flat (all kinds of work, fixing broken things, etc.)
- Help with the construction of furniture and wooden shelves (for this you have to know how to use a circular saw, otherwise don't even offer it)
- Sew clothes (by machine or by hand).
- Making my website (only if you can start and finish it, both the design and layout part)
- Taking photos (you must have a camera that takes photos in raw and jpg or png format)
- Helping with the vegetable garden (transplanting plants, building and working in the vegetable garden and the garden, making a compost bin)
- Craft work (macramé, woodwork, hand embroidery, etc.)
- Helping my dad with the construction of a flat (you need strength and have an idea about the work, trenching, help with plumbing, help with electricity, construction, moving building materials, etc.)

¡Oh! ¡Hay muchísimas cosas para hacer!
Luego de tanta experiencia con Workaway hemos visto que muchas personas creen saber más de lo que realmente saben.
Y, lamentablemente, además se enojan.
Así que, como tarea de sinceramiento y para una buena estadía te recomiendo que leas con atención lo que está entre paréntesis:
Actividades:
- Mejoras en el departamento (todo tipo de trabajo, arreglar cosas rotas, etc.).
- Ayuda con la construcción de muebles y estanterías de madera (para esto tienes que saber usar una sierra circular, si no ni lo ofrezcas).
- Coser ropa (a máquina o a mano).
- Hacer mi página web (sólo si puedes empezarla y terminarla, tanto la parte de diseño como la de diagramación).
- Tomar fotos (debes tener una cámara que saque fotos en formato raw y jpg o png).
- Ayuda con la huerta (transplantar plantas, construir y trabajar en la huerta y el jardín, hacer una compostera).
- Trabajos de artesanía (macramé, madera, bordado a mano, etc.)
- Ayudar a mi papá con la construcción de un departamento (necesitas fuerza y tener idea sobre el trabajo, hacer zanjas, ayudar con plomería, ayuda con electricidad, construcción, mover materiales de construcción, etc).
- Ayuda con la limpieza de la casa y del taller, como: limpiar a fondo partes externas e internas de la casa como habitaciones, cocina, baño, limpiar a fondo heladera, horno, lavarropas, vidrios, etc. (Si no sabes limpiar en tu casa, tampoco sabrás hacerlo aquí, así que sólo ofrece esta tarea si estás seguro de que puedes hacerlo bien y rápido).
- Trabajos sencillos en la computadora.
- Pintar, ordenar, y otras según la necesidad del momento.

Unterkunft
Use of washing machine (I manage it), hot water shower, wi-fi access, tea and coffee.
Sleeping: Double sofa bed in the living room.
(The sofa bed is not very comfortable, so there is also the possibility to sleep on a mattress on the floor if preferred).
The space can be shared with other workawayers.
Guests must keep the sofa bed set up and the lving clean and tidy every day and at the end of the stay: sweep the floor, dust the furniture, put the sheets in the laundry bag and leave the blankets folded, so that the following workawayers will find the space clean and pleasant.

Positive energy:
The most important thing is to have a positive attitude. If you don't like the work you are doing, then say so and we will do something else. If I don't like the work you're doing, I'll tell you and we'll look for something else. There is always something to do.
The biggest problem we've had with workawayers is that they get angry because they don't get the job done well and instead of getting angry at themselves they get angry at the hosts, so:
You have a right to be angry... in a hostel, not here. If you are not going to have positive energy you will have to leave immediately.
During your stay you should maintain order and cleanliness:
- don't leave things lying around,
- don't leave dirty things (kitchen utensils, pots and pans, etc),
- sweep the floor,
- clean the table after use (always use a tablecloth),
- hang up clothes once they have been washed and take them down once they are dry,
- cleaning the kitchen after use, etc.
Before you leave you should leave the space ready to welcome the next workawayers:

Workaway exchange interests me for two things mainly:
1- Because I always liked bartering and workaway is an excellent way to sustain and improve the house.
2- Because in this way, besides receiving help, we can share with people and discover their culture, new and interesting people and also practice languages.
The sharing part seems extremely important to me.
Timetable:
Between 8 am and 11 am. THREE HOURS OF INTENSE WORK PER DAY.
The timetable can be modified after discussion, for example if you want to do a full day trekking or go camping.
The exchange is: 3 hours of work each for each night that is available for the guests (if you go camping, that night is also available for the guests and the corresponding three hours must be worked).

About the place to stay:
👉🏻 Maybe there will be other workawayers. The fixed stay is three days, but if things go well, then you can stay more days. Sometimes there are a lot of us.
👉🏻 Keeping order and cleanliness is essential. Each person must keep their belongings in their backpack or suitcase, as we do not have any furniture for guests at the moment.
👉🏻 It is essential that we all collaborate in the daily cleaning.
👉🏻 As we only have one bathroom, its use should be brief and before bathing it is important to ask if anyone needs to use it, so that we can all be comfortable.
👉🏻 The television is not available to guests. You can listen to music and watch movies on your own devices ALWAYS WITH HEADPHONES, so as not to disturb the inhabitants of the house.
👉🏻 Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the house or near windows or doors, and cigarette butts may not be thrown on the floor.
👉🏻 There are cats and dogs in the house. Cats often climb on the beds, especially at night. They often hunt mice and birds and sometimes give them as offerings to visitors. They also tend to chew on wires, so keep an eye out for mobile phone chargers and headphones.

Después de haber tenido unas experiencias desagradables decidí aclarar aquí cada detalle del intercambio.

Buena oda:
Lo más importante es tener una actitud positiva. Si no te gusta el trabajo que estás haciendo, pues lo dices y hacemos otra cosa. Si no te sale bien el trabajo yo te lo diré y buscaremos otra cosa. Siempre hay algo para hacer.
El mayor problema que hemos tenido con los workawayers es que se enojan porque no les sale bien el trabajo y en vez de enojarse con ellos mismos se enojan con los anfitriones, así que:
Tú tienes derecho a estar enojado… en un hostel, no aquí. Si no vas a tener energía positiva tendrás que irte inmediatamente.
Durante tu estadía debes mantener el orden y la limpieza:
- no dejar cosas tiradas por ahí,
- no dejar cosas sucias (utensilios de cocina, ollas, etc),
- barrer el piso,
- limpiar la mesa después de usarla (usar siempre mantel),
- colgar la ropa una vez que se ha lavado y descolgarla una vez que esté seca,
- limpiar la cocina después de usarla, et.
Antes irte debes dejar el espacio listo para recibir a los próximos workawayers:
- living limpio y ordenado,
- ropa de cama en el canasto de ropa sucia,
- piso barrido y fregado.

👉🏻 Esto no es alojamiento gratis, es un programa de intercambio‼
👉🏻 Por cada noche que te quedas a dormir son tres horas de trabajo diario.
👉🏻 Esto no es un servicio de hotel‼
👉🏻 Cada uno tiene que limpiar lo que ensucia y pagar o arreglar lo que rompe (fuera del horario de intercambio‼).

El intercambio en Workaway me interesa por dos cosas principalmente:
1- Porque siempre me gustó el trueque y workaway es una excelente forma de sostenimiento y mejora para la casa.
2- Porque de esta forma además de recibir ayuda, podemos compartir con la gente y descubrir su cultura, nuevas e interesantes personas y también practicar idiomas.
La parte de compartir me parece extremadamente importante.
Horario:
Entre las 8 y las 11 horas. TRES HORAS DE TRABAJO INTENSO AL DÍA.
El horario se puede modificar previa conversación, por ejemplo si se desea realizar un trekking de todo el día o ir de camping.
El intercambio es: 3 horas de trabajo cada uno por cada noche que está disponible para los huéspedes (si se van de campamento igualmente esa noche está disponible para los huéspedes y deben trabajarse las tres horas correspondientes).

Si no cumplen con el orden, o no trabajan a un buen ritmo en esas tres horas no pondré 5 estrellas.
Es importante que los huéspedes tengan esto en claro para luego no llevarse sorpresas y decepción.

Lo que ofrezco:
Me parece importante que los huéspedes tengan claro que Ushuaia es una ciudad cara, para nosotros no es gratis hospedar.
A cambio de estas tres horas de trabajo intenso ofrezco:
Lo material:
- alojamiento con hermosa vista,
- electricidad,
- wi-fi,
- uso del lavarropas (sólo lo manipulo yo).
- jabón para la ropa,
- té y café (como gentileza),
- clases de yoga que se dictan los martes y jueves.
Lo relacional:
- ayudas,
- consejos,
- charlas,
- muy buena energía positiva

Sobre el espacio para hospedarse:
👉🏻 Tal vez haya otros workawayers. La estancia fijada es de tres días, pero si la cosa va bien, entonces se pueden quedar más días. A veces somos muchos.
👉🏻 Mantener el orden y la limpieza es fundamental. Cada persona debe guardar sus pertenencias en su mochila o valija, ya que por el momento no contamos con ningún mueble para invitados.
👉🏻 Es fundamental que todos colaboremos en la limpieza diaria.
👉🏻 Como solo tenemos un baño, su uso debe ser breve y antes de bañarse es importante preguntar si alguien necesita usarlo, para que todos podamos estar cómodos.
👉🏻 El televisor no está disponible para los huéspedes. Pueden escuchar música y ver películas en sus propios dispositivos SIEMPRE CON AURICULARES, de modo de no molestar a los habitantes de la casa.
👉🏻 Está completamente prohibido fumar dentro de la casa o cerca de ventanas o puertas, y no se pueden tirar colillas al piso.
👉🏻 Hay gatos y perros en la casa. Los gatos a menudo se suben a las camas, especialmente por la noche. Suelen cazar ratones y pajaritos y a veces los entregan como ofrenda a las visitas. También suelen masticar los cables así que hay que estar atentos a los cargadores de celulares y auriculares.
