  Beschreibung

  Now we are looking for helping hand starting from May for min. 2weeks but preferably for longer period. For an exchange of room and meals we need help with cleaning work.
  .
  We are also looking for someone to join our family for next winter season 2026-2027. If you like to stay and help us in winter season, give us a message! If you come in winter, we hope you like to ski!
  
  We are a family of four - mum (40), dad (42) and two teenager girls. We are entrepreneurs in a field of tourism.
  We are looking for some help with our household chores and especially we want to practice our language skills. Mostly we are interested in to practice English, but also mum would like refresh her spanish or russian language skills, if one of these are your native languages.
  We are also interested in other cultures, food and habits.
  
  Our lifestyle is busy and our work fullfill our days, but also we spend our free time at home and we like to spend time in the nature and hike in the forests and sometimes we go fishing on the lakes. In wintertime we like to do skiing and snowboarding and snowmobiling.
  We need some helping hand every now and then, for example cleanings, organizing things, paintings, carpenter works, chopping fire wood, help with computers, photographing, etc.If you have skills, you can also help with our dogs. We have 2 alaskas malamutes and 1 small poodle. At least you should like dogs and have some experience about dogs.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  We will teach you everything about Finnish culture and habits. You will get to know our sauna culture, our habits to pick up berries and mushrooms in the forests, skiing and skating in winter wonderland and enjoy northern nature and silence! In summer you can admire nightless nights and from autumn to spring Northern Lights are visible in our region! We are also happy to teach you Finnish language.

  Arbeit

  We are looking for someone to stay and commit for at least 2 weeks, but preferably for a month or longer. It's good if you are hands on person, social and you like active lifestyle and you like to be outdoors. Some interest to tourism and hospitality, photographing and some skills to create social media would be helpful and give us a lot of themes to talk and practice.
  We are looking for someone very happy, open-minded person with a good physical and mental health. Driving license is handy here, because we don't have a public transportation.
  
  We would really love you to help us with all sorts of tasks in and around the house and in exchange offer a wonderful experience with us!
  You will learn Finnish language and Finnish culture, and explore our beautiful forests and National Parks in Kuusamo and neighborhood regions! We are very calm, quiet and peaceful family, so parties are not here!

  Unterkunft

  This is a home-stay for short term stays. If you like to stay longer (over 1 month), we are happy to find you an apartment por you can stay with us!
  We offer a private bedroom upstairs in our house (homestay), with shared bathroom.
  It's also possible to live in one of our cottages / rental apartments sometimes. Or live a part-time with us and partly at the cottages. Living costs are free when you work for us.
  
  MEALS & FAMILY LIFE
  You are always welcome to have lunch and dinner with us, as we value sharing meals together.
  However, we appreciate small collaboration such as helping to set and clear the table, as part of normal family life.
  At the same time, we completely understand if sometimes you prefer to organize yourself independently, eat at different times or stay out longer. We respect your freedom and personal time.

  Was noch ...

  Hiking, nature sights, skiing, fishing... everything related with nature is close. Ski resort is very close. Airport is Kuusamo KAO.
  Bigger cities like Rovaniemi (Santa Claus Village and Santa Park) and city of Oulu are reachable by bus.
