We are a registered charity supporting Q’eqchi’ Maya families in a remote and mountainous region of Guatemala. Volunteers are based in our office a short bus ride from Antigua. Our aim is to empower families through education, training and nutritional support, as well as sustainable agricultural practices.
At the moment we have two, multi-use learning and training centres where mothers attend classes focusing on food production, hygiene, childcare and family planning. We also help families get access to surgery and medical services that are beyond their reach.
In 2024, we helped over 1,000 from 178 villages with severe malnutrition.
We are currently looking for someone who is interested in gaining skills and learning more about communications, donor relations within NGOs. As a, paid, intern you will be working from our office based in San Pedro Las Huertas (around 20 minutes by public bus from Antigua).
