We are looking for one volunteer who can help us in all the daily activites in our hotel. We need somebody helping us in the restaurant, in the reception, helping to welcome the guests. If you can speak various languages we need you to do some translations (marketing, publicity). We have a lot of french and european guests, so if you speak french or another language it will be a plus. We have always different activities, so the work hours (can be in the morning or in the evening) and the work will change, so you will learn a lot. :) We also have a hotel in Antigua Guatemala, there is also the possibilty that the volunteer will work there for couple weeks.
We offer breakfast and a private room with private bathroom, tv and hot water and wifi. Depending on the working hours we offer also lunch or dinner. You can use the pool and all the facilities the hotel has to offer.
Panajachel (or “Pana”, as it is commonly known), is a small town on the north shore of Lake Atitlán, in Guatemala’s southwestern Highlands. It’s just under two hours away from La Antigua Guatemala, and is arguably only second to La Antigua as the nation’s most popular tourist destination.
Despite its popularity, however, Pana remains peaceful and idyllic, with a thriving artisan community and an abundance of natural beauty. It’s the perfect destination for a romantic getaway or an enjoyable family vacation.
Explore the splendor of local Panajachel wildlife on this special tour. The Panajachel Solola butterfly reserve, constructed several years ago as a means of providing butterflies and other wildlife with a safe environment in which to thrive, measures 5000 square meters. It includes roughly 300 live specimens of 10 different butterfly species, as well as a laboratory where you can observe the various stages of a butterfly's life.
Start the tour at our reception center, and head up one of several trails to the top of the mountain. If you have extra time and you're adventurous, we recommend participating in an exhilarating canopy (zipline) tour before visiting the butterfly reserve, as well as spending time by the lake.
