  Welcome! I'm Catarina, a passionate freelancer, entrepreneur, and proud mama to a joyful and kind-hearted 4-year-old boy named Lorenzo.
  
  I’m a yoga instructor, registered dietitian, and teacher, deeply dedicated to wellness, natural living, and conscious connection. Life is full and vibrant, I work a lot, but my priority is always Lorenzo's happiness and well-being.
  
  We're a small and loving family of two, and Lorenzo's father lives nearby, we co-parent with mutual respect and a good relationship, which brings balance and support to our lives.
  
  We love being outdoors, especially surfing, hiking, and moving our bodies through yoga. We also enjoy slow mornings, BBQs with friends, and sharing colourful, wholesome meals together.

  Staying with us in Lagoa, São Miguel (Azores) offers a rich cultural experience rooted in simplicity, wellness, and connection.
  
  I'm Catarina, a mother, yoga teacher, nutritionist, and educator. I work across different fields and collaborate with people from many backgrounds, so you'll get to meet inspiring individuals and take part in a conscious, open-minded lifestyle.
  
  You’ll learn about Azorean daily life, healthy food, mindful living, parenting, and may even join me in some projects or events. You can practice Portuguese or English, enjoy nature, and be part of a small, loving household.
  
  More than help, I hope you’ll feel welcomed, grow through the exchange, and leave with beautiful memories.

  Arbeit

  We’re currently looking for an extra pair of hands to support us a bit, mostly with my son Lorenzo, and helping at home or with small personal projects.
  
  Lorenzo is 4 years old and goes to creche on weekdays from 9:30am to 4:00pm, so help is generally needed for a few hours (between 3 to 5 hours max), depending on my schedule , sometimes in the morning, sometimes in the afternoon, or occasionally in the evening.
  
  The main help I need is:
  
  Spending time with Lorenzo: playing, having fun, maybe reading a story or helping with dinner or bedtime when needed. He’s a sweet, funny, and loving boy, I’m sure you’ll fall in love with him instantly!
  Giving an extra hand at home: keeping things tidy, preparing simple meals, or supporting me with creative or wellness-related projects I might be working on.
  
  His father and I co-parent peacefully and he’s often present, so Lorenzo will spend time with his dad.
  
  In terms of our home, my principle is simple: treat the space as if it were your own, with care, respect, and heart.

  Unterkunft

  We live in a bright and cozy apartment in Lagoa, close to the ocean, which means it takes a bit of extra care to keep things organized! The kitchen and bathroom are shared, and we kindly ask that you treat the space as your own, with care and respect.
  
  We don’t have a private guest room, but we will arrange a cozy sleeping space for you, either sharing my or Lorenzo's room (if you're comfortable with that) or setting up a proper mattress in the living room. You’ll have clean bedding, towels, and your own personal space to rest and feel at home.
  
  We offer one meal per day on working days only (either breakfast, lunch, or dinner), depending on the schedule we’ll organize together in advance.
  
  We’re looking for someone clean, respectful, mindful, and who enjoys a calm, friendly environment. It’s important to us that you take care of your own space and help keep the common areas tidy.

  Our home is located in Lagoa, São Miguel Island, a charming town surrounded by stunning nature, beautiful coastlines, volcanic lakes, hiking trails, and quiet beaches are all nearby.
  
  Getting around:
  Public transport is available, but having a bike or scooter makes exploring easier and more fun. You’ll have access to a bike during your stay, so you can enjoy the outdoors and even surf some of the best waves in the Azores!
  
  In your free time:
  
  Explore nearby beaches for swimming, surfing, or relaxing by the ocean
  Visit local cafés and markets to experience Azorean food and culture
  Discover hiking trails with breathtaking views, such as Serra Devassa or Lagoa do Fogo
  Join local community events or yoga classes if you wish
  Take time to relax in our cozy home and connect with nature and yourself
  
  At home:
  You can help with small household tasks, assist in caring for my son Lorenzo, or support my ongoing projects, including yoga sessions, nutrition workshops, and gardening. But there’s plenty of space and freedom to pursue your own interests, rest, and recharge.
  
  We encourage respectful and mindful living, keeping your space tidy, taking care of shared areas, and embracing a friendly, open atmosphere.
