  We are a small orgânic farm of fruit and vegetables. Our property is situated in a place full of nature beside a protected area close to a village called Santana de Japuiba in Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil.

  The travellers can learn about organic growth, brazilian fruit and vegetables and the life in a village in the countryside of Rio state. They also can enjoy the amazing Atlantic Forest as the farm is situated in a protected area. Inside the property there is a track that leads to a top hill where people practice paragliding and enjoy the beautiful view of Teresópolis' mountains. The region also offers small waterfalls that are especially good in the summer when the rain season happens.

  Arbeit

  The volunteers will help us with small repairs, maintenance, cleaning and gardening. We also need help to feed our animals (hens and ducks).

  Unterkunft

  It is a small farm where there is one main house with a double bedroom, kitchen, one bathroom, living room and a balcony equipped with a coal cooker. There are also a swimming pool and a natural shower.
  We provide breakfast and some fruit and vegetables from our farm.

  It's important to be aware that there are insects as our place is surrounded by a tropical rainforest. It's also
  recommended to bring boots.
  The travellers can get our property by car or bus from Rio city. The bus is the line Rio-Cachoeiras de Macacu and it is taken in the main bus terminal in Rio's city center (Terminal Rodoviário Novo Rio). It goes to Cachoeiras de Macacu but you need to get off at the 26 kilometer point of the road RJ-116. Just ask the driver to stop at this point. At this 26 kilometer point there is a place called Parque Terra Santa and Santana de Japuiba town is on the opposite side of the road.
