Gardening while exploring Greta Valley, New Zealand

  We are 10 minutes north of Greta Valley on a Sheep and Beef farm. The house is on a hill with magnificent views, with a walking track up to the top with 360 views of North Canterbury. There is a hut for you to sleep in for your own privacy which has wifi and toilet, 2 single beds, heater. Shower is inside the main house. The hut is close to the house and is surrounded with flower gardens, 2 glasshouses and a large vege garden and fruit trees. If you would like to potter around the garden for a week or few days I have lots of areas that need some attention and help with creating new ideas and maintaining the vege garden. Some gardening experience would be great to share from your culture, country vice versa. We are able to offer country living in NZ. Good Kiwi BBQ cuisine and home baking with meat straight off the farm, veges fron the garden aswell as venison we hunt off the land. We are a family of 5, with only 3 of us here now, the other 2 have left home. Close places and activites to see are Motunau Beach 20min, Greta Valley Tavern 10min, Hurunui River 5min for river fishing, Cheviot or Amberley 20min for essentials. Need to speak English. No vegans or fussy eaters please. Non smokers. We would love to hear and learn about your home country, as we would love to share our kiwi knowledge to you. Oneday we hope to travel. You need your own transport. Would suit 2 people.

  We have walking tracks with great views of the sea, amuri basin and hurunui river. Close to state highway 1. 20 minutes to nearest town Amberley and Cheviot. 1hr to Christchurch. 1hr 20 minutes to Kaikoura.
