  Hello, we are a family of four (mother, father, 8-year-old daughter and 6-year-old son) and are currently building our new home in beautiful Småland in southern Sweden on an even more beautiful property. As you can imagine, there are a lot of diverse activities. We love animals, but don't have any yet because living space is our top priority at the moment. We want to create a paradise here for everyone who loves peace and freedom. Michael is a master carpenter and therefore has the professional competence to carry out the work and is happy to pass on all his knowledge about wood.

  Hallo, wir sind eine vierköpfige Familie (Mutter, Vater, 8-jährige Tochter und 6-jähriger Sohn) und bauen uns gerade unseren neuen Lebensmittelpunkt im schönen Småland in Südschweden auf einem noch schöneren Grundstück auf. Wie man sich sicher vorstellen kann, gibt es eine Menge an vielfältigen Tätigkeiten. Wir lieben Tiere, haben aber noch keine, da oberste Priorität im Moment der Wohnraum hat. Wir wollen hier ein Paradies für Jeden schaffen, der Ruhe und Freiheit liebt. Michael ist Zimmerermeister und hat somit die fachliche Kompetenz die Arbeiten durchzuführen und gibt sehr gerne sein gesamtes Wissen übers Holz weiter.

  Kultureller Austausch und Lernmöglichkeiten

  The property is situated in a beautiful natural setting on a small hill. The first step is to convert the old farmhouse into a residential building. This requires a lot of work - from gutting to partial demolition. The construction of a new roof truss is planned. The host is a master carpenter and can therefore learn a lot from an experienced master craftsman. Tips and tricks for building a house, especially when it comes to wood. Ecological house construction is very important to us, which is why the building materials used will be selected very carefully. Michael is also a state-certified technician in the preservation of historical buildings. He will try to reuse and preserve as much of the old building fabric as possible. The house is still partly a block construction with a very special charm. This should not be lost through the renovation work! This means that a lot can be learnt in terms of craftsmanship as the work is very varied. During the construction phase we live in a house which is about 100 metres away from our farm. There is also a guest room available.

  Arbeit

  In the beginning, help with manual labour will be necessary. Depending on the skills of the workawayers, larger tasks can then be carried out after a while. Michael will explain a lot so that you can work more and more independently if desired. The activities will focus on the construction and remodelling of the house on the farm. In the first stage, a lot of dismantling is necessary, then the construction will take place. As a master carpenter, I'm already looking forward to being able to pass on a lot of knowledge.

  Unterkunft

  The accommodation will be in a guest room nearby in a house where we will also be living. It is a separate guest room with a separate bed. We would have to share the bathroom and the rest of the flat. We want to live together and not next to each other. But we also want everyone to have their own space!

  Was noch ...

  The surrounding area can be explored in your free time. We would make our car available for day trips. Nearby is Älmhult with the Ikea museum and logistically the location is also very interesting. For example, you could be in Copenhagen in about 2 hours by train. Talk to us, we are sure to find interesting destinations for your free time

  In der Freitzeit kann die Umgebung erkundet werden. Wir würden für Tagesausflüge unser Auto zur Verfügung stellen. In der Nähe ist Älmhult mit dem Ikea-Museum und logistisch ist dir Lage auch sehr interessant. Z.B. wäre man in ca. 2 Std. mit dem Zug in Kopenhagen. Sprecht uns an, wir finden mit Sicherheit interessante Ziele für die freie Zeit
