Ok admitting this feedback is 8 years late, but its still true i had a great time! I stayed with harry and sue for just 1-2 weeks. It was great, me and sue made cheese together, one of their children showed me about milking animals. And harry was kind enough to take me to the synagogue on shabbat with him.

This was a wonderful Workaway experience! I stayed at the family for about a month in January and together with another volunteer we had a most amazing time. … read more evening, picking fresh fruits (a great feeling to eat it directly off a tree) like oranges, mandarines, bananas, grapefruits and more, weeding in the vegetable garden, taking the sheeps and goats out to graze (first time being a shephard for me), making juice or helping with finding pecans (you feel like a treasure hunter), the tasks are fun and you can find what suits you best. I really much enjoyed seeing chicks hatch from there eggs and bottle feeding the goat kids as well as being able to help with the birth of goat triplets. Apart from the work, I really felt like a part of the family, living in the house, eating Sues marvellous food (she even made me like coriander), and being able to swim in the pool. The whole family is kind and welcoming and it was especially nice to meet Serida and Connor who normally live in Amerika but came over for a visit. I could play the piano, enjoy Leas artwork or take a walk around the moshav with Ketem and Sparta (the two dogs). Another thing that made this Workaway unforgettable for me was the opportunity to experience Jewish life in such a depth, with not only being able to celebrate Shabbat but also to see it in everyday life (like with a kosher kitchen or the blessings over the picked fruit). Everyone was very open to my many questions and very happy to help. The week we spent with Harry and Sue's family was just amazing!
Fruit so fresh you wouldn't believe it, a plot of land where they produce almost everything the climate can possibly offer... furthermore, they got an entire petting zoo's worth of animals and last but not least, a beautiful and welcoming home.

… read more friendly atmosphere, the neighbour's kids flock to this place to help out with the fruits and animals. On Sabbath, families come there together to see the animals and greet Harry, Sue and their children.
We helped them as much as they allowed us (!), but they insisted that we should go experience Purim, a big jewish holiday (on only our second day there)!
We enjoyed the work, the place and of course to participate in a proper Sabbath with the family!

The house is great, its modern, clean, nice. They even have a 25M pool that you must swim in!
I really enjoyed using my body and working outdoors. The food was fresh, and delicious. I was also lucky enough to be able to share Shabbat with the family, it was my first ever religious Shabbat dinner and I'm very grateful.
