Are you a dog-loving adventurer looking for a truly unique opportunity? Imagine waking up each day surrounded by breathtaking wilderness, caring for a team of sled dogs, and living in a luxury off-grid home overlooking Lake Laberge (Whitehorse, Yukon).

We’re seeking one incredible couple—or an exceptional individual— for an immersive experience working with our beloved sled dogs. We have 24 dogs. 23 Alaskan Huskies and 1 pit bull.

11 dogs live inside with us, and 13 live outside in kennels. These dogs are our family, and we spend a lot of time with them. You will too! We are looking for a person, or couple, who loves dogs to join us.

You'll learn about rural life in the Yukon, taking care of sled dogs, and how to handle a luxury off-grid home.

During your time off, if you need to go to town, we can arrange to go together, or if we feel comfortable with you and you're legally able to drive in Canada, you may borrow the car.

  • Arbeit

    Arbeit

Learn about sled dogs and living off-grid at our Kennel. Spring/summer duties include:

=> feeding, scooping poop, walking, & brushing dogs
=> cutting wood for winter firewood
=> exterior and interior house maintenance (e.g., staining/painting the deck and trim), etc.
=> walking some of the dogs

We do have some physical requirements, as you must be able to lift 40lb bags of dog food and carry water buckets.

During this time, we are not asking for your help with business operations.

We live 50 minutes north of Whitehorse in an extremely rural setting overlooking Lake Laberge.
The closest neighbor is 3.5 miles away.

We live in a remote beautiful & peaceful area-- perfect for artists and athletes (Greg and I are ultra runners).
