  Hello travellers!
  
  Come and meet us in our "lake house" (as my daughter calls it)!
  
  Our rural (and wild, between land and water!) village:
  Hectares of pine and oak trees, five lakes in total, two beaches and a leisure centre (paddle, mountain bike etc.), for 1400 inhabitants! In the Landes de Gascogne Natural Park, in Gironde. 45 minutes from Bordeaux and the Bassin d'Arcachon.
  
  Our single-parent family:
  My daughter (6 years old), our dog Gaïa, our two hens and myself (ethnologist, specialist of the African field).
  Benevolence, joy, sensitivity to life, open-mindedness.
  
  Our project :
  I warmly welcome you and your family. My daughter plays with your children. My dog and my hens also welcome your animals.
  You help me to improve my big house (bought 4 years ago) and to maintain my garden.
  Together, we live the joy of meeting and sharing!

  Venez nous rencontrer dans notre « maison du Lac » (comme l'appelle ma fille)!
  
  Notre village rural (et sauvage, entre terre et eau!) :
  Des hectares de pins et de chênes, cinq lacs au total, deux plages et une base de loisirs (paddle, vélo VTT etc.), pour 1400 habitants ! Dans le Parc naturel des Landes de Gascogne, en Gironde. À 45 mn de Bordeaux et du Bassin d'Arcachon.
  
  Notre famille mono-parentale :
  Ma fille (6 ans), notre chienne Gaïa, nos deux poules et moi-même (ethnologue, spécialiste du champ africain).
  Bienveillance, joie, sensibilité au vivant, ouverture d'esprit.
  
  Notre projet :
  Je t'accueille chaleureusement, toi et ta famille. Ma fille joue avec tes enfants. Ma chienne et mes poules accueillent aussi tes animaux.
  Tu m'aides à améliorer ma grande maison (achetée il y a 4 ans) et à entretenir mon jardin.
  Ensemble, on vit la joie de la rencontre et du partage!

  As an ethnologist, I share with you my field experiences in Africa and my knowledge of world cultures.
  I will introduce you to the local wild, edible and medicinal plants, as well as to the local history and culture.
  I introduce you to paddle (I lend you mine).
  I lend you my bike.
  
  En tant qu'ethnologue, je partage avec toi mes expériences de terrain en Afrique et mes connaissances des cultures du monde.
  Je t'initie aux plantes sauvages, comestibles et médicinales locales, ainsi qu'à l'histoire et à la culture locales.

  DIY:
  - wall stripping
  - repainting walls
  - laying parquet in two rooms
  - create a dry toilet and shower in my garden
  Maintenance/help:
  - changing chandeliers, putting up frames etc.
  - trimming hedges, mowing, watering fruit trees
  Languages:
  - practising English and Spanish for me
  - teaching my daughter a language
  
  Bricolage:
  - détapisser des murs
  - repeindre des murs
  - poser du parquet dans deux pièces
  - créer des toilettes sèches et douche dans mon jardin
  Entretien/aide:
  - changer des lustres, poser des cadres etc.

  - enseigner une langue à ma fille

  3 single rooms available with a double bed and a wardrobe for your belongings.

  Of course we share meals together!
  However, we remain flexible according to schedules, especially for lunch.

  Nous partageons évidemment les repas ensemble!
  On reste cependant flexible selon les emplois du temps, surtout pour le déjeuner.
