  Beschreibung

  We are a family of four (Audrey 43, Fred 47, Mila 14, and Abie 11).
  
  We live in an old stone house that we restored ourselves, facing the Loire River. Couëron is a town of 25,000 inhabitants and is located about 15 minutes by car from the city center of Nantes.
  
  We have a 1,000 m² garden, a cat, five chickens, a large vegetable garden, and a jacuzzi with a beautiful view of the river.
  
  We recently returned from a one-year trip around the world during which we did four volunteer experiences with Workaway. We would like to continue meeting people from other countries to enrich each other and improve our English.
  
  Fred is a craftsman working with wood and metal, and Audrey is a videographer.

  Fred speaks Spanish and a little English, Audrey speaks English, and our daughters speak a little English as well.
  
  We really want to improve our English and will be happy to practice and chat with you. In return, we can of course help you improve your French 🙂 and also introduce you to our gastronomy and culture.
  
  Nantes is a very lively city with a large student population, many museums, and numerous exhibitions as well as the Loire Valley castles, which can easily be visited over a weekend..
  
  Fred can also teach you some skills in woodworking and metalworking and Audrey teach you about plants

  Arbeit

  The help we are mainly looking for is related to DIY projects. The house is finished, but we are constantly improving it. We are looking for people who enjoy and know how to do DIY. Fred is a very good handyman, and the idea is to help him with the projects we have in mind: repainting a bedroom, installing wooden cladding, etc.
  
  The help may also involve gardening and general house maintenance. We won’t ask you to take care of the kids, as one of us is always there but any conversations in English with our daughters are always welcome.
  
  We expect around 4 hours of help per day. You will have all your afternoons and weekends free. We will be happy to share our favorite places in the region with you.
  
  In exchange for your help, we offer a private room with a double bed, so we can host either one person or a couple. We provide breakfast lunch and dinner, which we can enjoy together.
  
  The house has two bathrooms, which we will share.
  
  We are a lively and cheerful family. Taking ourselves too seriously is not our style! We work and live in a good mood, and the Loire River is never far away for a break to simply sit and admire the view. 😊

  Unterkunft

  The room is 11 m². It has a double bed and faces south, with a beautiful view of the garden and the Loire River.
  We provide breakfast lunch and dinner, which we can enjoy together. We would be delighted if, from time to time, you could let us taste some specialties from your country.

  We are lucky to live in a very pleasant environment. Our garden is not huge but beautiful, with two lovely terraces, a badminton court, and a basketball hoop.
  We can lend you our bikes, surfboard, and scooter.
  We are a 5-minute walk from all the shops in Couëron.
  
  The coast is 45 minutes by car, and it is also possible to get there by train from Couëron.
  We are 25 minutes from Nantes airport.
