  My name is Elisa, I'm 25 years old and I live in Acqui Terme, a small town nestled in the Monferrato region, an area famous for its wine production and rich in stunning landscapes. I live with my parents in a house surrounded by nature, just a short walk from the town center of Acqui Terme. We have a large house surrounded by trees and a beautiful garden. We also have five sweet dogs, two horses, and a cat. Every year, my dad tends to the garden, where we can harvest plenty of vegetables and fruit to eat even during the winter. We enjoy living immersed in nature and surrounded by animals. Furthermore, in Acqui Terme, a 5-minute drive and 20-minute walk from our house, there's a train station that allows you to easily reach cities like Turin, Genoa, and Milan in just a few hours (you can travel there and back in the same day).
  Spring and summer are definitely the best seasons to enjoy the wonderful landscapes that surround us! Italian cuisine, which is always with us, will not be missing.

  Io sono Elisa, ho 25 anni e vivo ad Acqui Terme, una piccola cittadina immersa nel Monferrato, un' area famosa per la produzione di vino, ricca di paesaggi meravigliosi. Abito con i miei genitori, in una casa immersa nella natura a pochi passi a piedi dal centro della cittadina di Acqui Terme. Abbiamo una casa grande circondata da alberi e un bel giardino. Con noi ci sono anche 5 cani dolci, 2 cavalli e un gatto. Ogni anno mio papà si occupa dell'orto, dal quale possiamo raccogliere molte verdure e frutte da mangiare anche durante l'inverno. Ci piace vivere immersi nella natura e circondati da animali. Inoltre ad Acqui Terme a 5 minuti in macchina e 20 minuti a piedi da casa nostra, si trova una stazione che permette di raggiungere facilmente città come Torino, Genova e Milano in poche ore di treno (è possibile andare e tornare in giornata).
  La primavera e l'estate sono sicuramente le stagioni migliori per poter godere dei meravigliosi paesaggi che ci circondano! Non mancherà la cucina italiana, che ci accompagna in tutte le nostre giornate.

  Arbeit

  Volunteers will simply need to help with the animals (feeding, walking, and cleaning) and the garden (maintenance and cleaning), and if you prefer, they can also help with housework (sometimes). There are three of us, but we're always very busy, especially because we have racehorses (especially endurance horses), so we often find ourselves having to go on horseback rides and train for competitions (perhaps you could come with us if you're visiting during competition season and it's of interest to you)!
  
  We're looking for help for about four hours a day, five days a week, so you can have time to spend up to two days in a nearby city. We're very flexible, so if you'd like to stay a few more days to visit other places, we're happy to discuss it and make the necessary arrangements!
  You'll never be completely alone; it might be a few hours a day, but my dad is usually always home. My mom works during the week. I'll be working a summer job that allows me time to stay home and do some chores and take care of the animals, so we'll often be together.
  Of course, we'd also be happy to take you exploring the beauty of our area!

  I volontari dovranno semplicemente dare una mano nella gestione di animali (alimentazione, passeggiate e pulizia) e giardino (manutenzione e pulizia) e volendo, se si preferisce, anche aiutare con le pulizie in casa (alcune volte). Siamo in tre ma siamo sempre molto impegnati, soprattutto perchè i cavalli che abbiamo sono da corsa (in particolare la disciplina dell'endurance), perciò ci troviamo spesso a dover fare uscite a cavallo e allenamenti per organizzare le gare (magari potrete venire con noi se vi trovate nel periodo delle gare e se può essere di vostro interesse)!
  Abbiamo pensato di richiedere una manovalanza di circa 4 ore al giorno, 5 giorni a settimana, in modo che possiate avere il tempo necessario per passare anche 2 giorni in una città vicina. Siamo molto flessibili, perciò se vorrete organizzarvi per stare anche qualche giorno in più a visitare altri luoghi non abbiamo problemi, possiamo parlarne e organizzarci!
  Non sarete mai completamente soli, potrebbe succedere alcune ore al giorno, ma tendenzialmente mio papà è sempre a casa. Mia mamma lavora durante la settimana. Io farò un lavoro nella stagione estiva che mi possa permettere di avere anche del tempo per stare a casa e fare dei lavori e prendermi cura degli animali, quindi spesso potremmo essere insieme.
  Ovviamente saremo anche contenti di portarvi a esplorare le bellezze del nostro territorio!

  Unterkunft

  The house we're staying in is an old country house that my father renovated himself, so there's always work to be done and some areas that still need work.
  We can offer a private room with a shared bathroom. (We do, however, have two bathrooms, so one can be considered yours, as you'll have plenty of space to store your things.)
  The bedroom has a single bed, a desk, and a wardrobe; it has a window overlooking the garden entrance.
  The kitchen is also available for use; just clean it up after use (if you have a special dish you'd like us to try, we're happy to help!)
  Also, if you love camping, we also offer tents in the garden (even overlooking the horse paddock)!
  
  As for food, the volunteers will have the breakfast and the lunch, than we will provide some ingredients for the dinner! Always a cup of coffee or tea during the morning and the possibility of take vegetables from the garden to cook.

  La casa in cui stiamo è una vecchia casa di campagna che mio padre ha ristrutturato da solo, ci sono sempre lavori da fare e angoli che richiedono ancora qualche lavoro.
  Possiamo offrire una stanza privata , con bagno condiviso. (In ogni caso abbiamo 2 bagni quindi uno può essere più considerato vostro in quanto avrete lo spazio necessario per mettere le vostre cose).
  La camera da letto è provvista di letto singolo, scrivania e armadio; con finestra che da su l'entrata del giardino.
  La cucina anche è messa a disposizione, basta pulire dopo averla utilizzata (se avete qualche piatto speciale da farci assaggiare noi non ci tiriamo indietro!)
  Inoltre se siete amanti del campeggio abbiamo anche la possibilità di stare in tenda nel giardino (anche verso il paddock dei cavalli)!
  
  Per quanto riguarda il cibo provvediamo al pranzo (noi mangiamo di tutto, d'estate sfruttiamo al massimo quelli che sono i prodotti dell'orto, quindi molte verdure!).
  Inoltre al mattino sarà sempre disponibile una tazza di caffè (americano..ebbene si, siamo italiani ma ci piace il caffè americano!)

  In your free time, you can:
  - go on excursions (alone or with us) in nature, along the river, in the mountains, or by the sea (the Genoa coast is about an hour and a half away).
  - enjoy the nature surrounding our home, relax in a hammock, read a book, or listen to music.
  - visit the small town of Acqui Terme, where you can enjoy delicious snacks like gelato or focaccia.
  
  Transportation:
  We are happy to take you to the train station if you want to explore the surrounding towns.
  
  There's a train station less than a 10-minute drive (20 minutes on foot) from our home, making getting around easy.
  
  There are also local regional buses that offer the opportunity to visit the countryside and small villages surrounding the town of Acqui Terme.
  
  We don't have any big rules: Mutual respect is respected, and smoking is not allowed indoors, but outside is allowed.

  Nel vostro tempo libero potrete:
  -fare escursioni (da soli o insieme a noi), nella natura, al fiume, in montagna o al mare (il mare di Genova dista a circa 1 ora e mezza).
  -godervi la natura che circonda casa nostra, rilassarvi in amaca leggendo un libro o ascoltando musica
  -Il piccolo centro di Acqui Terme, dove si possono fare deliziose merende con gelato o focaccia
  
  Mezzi di trasporto:
  Siamo disponibili a portarvi in stazione nel momento in cui vorrete andare ad esplorare le città intorno
  C'è una stazione a meno di 10 minuti in macchina (20 a piedi) da casa nostra, che rende gli spostamenti agevolati.
  Vi sono anche autobus locali regionali che garantiscono la possibilità di visitare le campagne e i piccoli borghi situati intorno alla cittadina di Acqui Terme.
  
  Non abbiamo grandi regole: Il rispetto reciproco e non si fuma in casa, fuori si.
