  My husband and I are a middle age entrepreneur couple near retirement . We're very adventurous and have chosen this project as our next adventure and retirement project. From Austin Texas we came to Bocas del Toro Panama in search for the ideal place to build a yoga and meditation retreat. Please note that this is not a hotel or hostel. This is work in progress to convert this old House into our dream yoga and meditation retreat. We have local workers to maintain the grounds as well as contractors doing new construction however we need extra hands to help us with the restoration of this old house. At this time we're only accepting volunteers with wood working, sanding and painting skills.
  
  When we set foot onto this property it was love at first site! If you choose us and we choose you to be part of this journey, you'll see why! I'm a proud mother and grandmother with A type personality. Yoga and meditation helps keep me balance!

  If you enjoy exploring new cultures and marine life, this will be an unforgettable experience. Experience different cultures of Panamanian indigenous tribes, amazing marine life. Explore the tropical jungle with a large population of exotic tropical birds and wild life from our back yard. Enjoy dolphin watching and bird watching from our deck or boat dock. Fish, swim
  and snorkel and experience beautiful coral reefs just off our boat dock. Take a long weekend to explore Boquete Panama where the worlds most expensive coffee is grown and where you'll experience amazing weather and mountain environment. Lots of exciting and fun activities within the area are available.

  Only responsible individuals that can commit to show up should contact us. Come and experience paradise with us and help us bring to life our yoga and meditation retreat! Located on Isla Solarte one of islands of the Bocas del Toro archipielago this project is work in progress in need of your wood working skills, gardening and painting skills. We're in the process of restoring a Panamanian style nispero wooden house to its formal beauty. We need help sanding and staining flooring and deck railings, painting and gardening. Building arbors for our garden, planter boxes and garden benches. Your wood working, painting and gardening skills would be ideal for our projects. We have local contractors doing new construction work as well as local workers maintaining the grounds. We just need extra hands that don't mind getting dirty. At this moment We're only accepting volunteers with wood working, sanding painting and general construction skills.

  Unterkunft

  Our eco lodge was built on 20,000 square meters of tropical jungle and Caribbean water front. It's a very beautiful and peaceful location only suited for those that are able to live off grid and willing to conserve our limited natural resources such as water and solar energy.
  
  We provide daily breakfast and plenty of good water to drink. I'll be happy to share some of my dinners but, I don't cook dinner daily. This is a remote island with no roads or stores. You'll need to bring enough groceries for you to cook or prepare your own lunch and dinner. The main island is where we do our weekly shopping is about 15 minutes boat ride from us. There's also a grocery store 5 minutes boat ride across the bay where you can go for the day and find plenty of coconuts on the ground also enjoy bars and restaurants as well as a beautiful beach. You'll have your own private bedroom and bathroom. Boat ride to the main island range between $5- $10 for one person. I can provide a weekly boat ride to the main island free of charge. As well pickup upon your arrival. We're off the grid but we do have running water and solar power as well as high speed internet that's fairly reliable and a million dollars view! The property it's on the water across from the Island of Bastimentos and Red Frog Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in this area.

  During your time off you can just hang out and enjoy fishing, kayaking, swimming or snorkeling just off our dock or, you can go on day trips for more snorkeling, scuba diving, surfing, deep sea fishing, explore bat caves, explore the jungle, learn about jungle natural medicine, learn about the indigenous culture or hang out at the beach are a few things you can do.
  
  As for transportation we offer a weekly free trip to Bocas town the main island or Red Frig beach or you can tag along for free when we go there to run errands. The only method of transportation we have is via boat or water taxi with an average one way trip fee of $10. We're located within 15 minutes boat ride from Isla Colon the main island that we refer to as Bocas town. One last note:. Please note that we do not have a house cleaning staff and we're clean people. You will be sharing our kitchen and common areas therefore, you're required to maintain your bedroom and bathroom clean as well as help maintain the common areas clean daily. Most important, if you use our kitchen, you must clean the stove and all dishes you used immediately after you're done eating. Also, prior to your departure we expect you to only leave your foot prints behind and leave your bedroom, bathroom and common area you used just as you found it.
