  We are a retired couple who have moved back to Italy as our family live here. We speak English and Italian. We live in a beautiful part of the Cilento, Santamaria di Castellabate. Very near to a Sandy beach and on agricultural land. We are planning to do some work in the garden, weeding building a wooden structure, re-painting our railing, other odd jobs too.
  So there will be some heavy lifting and outdoor work.
  We may also have some indoor and outdoor painting and general house tasks. The weather is mostly sunny from April to October with hot weather in July and August. This part of the Cilento Is popular for figs and olives.
  We have accommodation for anyone interested in helping us out.
  We are both young 65 year olds. Our house is comfortable and clean, our view from the balcony is olive and fig trees. We really love it here. It's very peaceful and laid back. The beach and the small village of Santamaria di Castellabate is only 15 min walk away and has lots of restaurants, bars and shops. We have wifi. There are wonderful walks here, either coastal or mountain. I am a keen walker. Love cooking and cross stitching.

  The Cilento Is home to the Slow-Food, delicious Mediterranean cuisine where you can sample the flavours of Italy. For example: home grown tomatoes, lettuces, fruit. Buffalo Mozzarella comes from Battipaglia 20 mins from here. The Cilento produces local wines, olives, figs etc. There are many places to visit such as Roman/Greek Paestum with beautiful old temples. As well as Naples, Pompeii, which is 2 hours away on the train. Capri is only a boat ride away. Travelling south there are beautiful places to visit and Pioppi Is home to the Slow-Food Museum. The Sandy beaches will offer you time to relax and the mountains a chance to walk and see the stunning views of the Salerno coastline and Capri.

  Arbeit

  We would like someone for general maintenance around the house/garden, painting, gardening etc. It may require some heavy lifting and mostly outdoor work so expect to get dirty.

  Unterkunft

  Family home, you will be staying either with the host upstairs or apartment downstairs depending on availability. If staying with host, You will have your own double bed but sharing bathroom, kitchen etc. Downstairs apartment is self sufficient. Continental breakfast, lunch will be provided ( croissant, cereals). For evening food, it's worth visiting local food restaurants/bars.

  With your time off you can visit the local areas as mentioned above, as well as sunbathing, walking, etc. There are trains from Agropoli which is in the next village, we are happy to take you to the train station. Buses run from the local square in Santamaria Village. Castellabate Is a beautiful mountain town to visit made famous by the film ' Welcome to the South' 'Benvenuti al Sud'. It has won best 'borgo' village three years running. It has stunning views of the Cilento coastline and surrounding areas.
