  Aloha!
  
  We will be looking to host someone longer term to join our family in Maui, HI starting in February 2026 or earlier! We also travel frequently including winter ski trips to Whistler and spend summers from June-September at our summer beach home in Point Roberts, WA. We are at our main residence in Maui from September/October until June.
  
  
  We have 3 children ages 1 , 2 and 4. We would love to find someone with a teaching background to help assist with homeschooling our oldest daughter. We lean towards a Waldorf and play based style of teaching. We are also looking for a helping hand around the house mainly with cooking and cleaning to make our day to days a bit easier. We want to do more gardening and growing our own food and would like assistance with setting up a garden. We have started simple fermentation and would like to grow our knowledge with this! Language exchange is also very important to us. Our children are currently learning Spanish and we want to continue this! Ideally we’d love someone who is fluent in Spanish. We would help you in learning English!
  
  We enjoy cooking and eating healthy meals. I love to cook and would love to share my passion for cooking. We also love to exercise and can provide a membership at our gym or any type of fitness activity you'd like to try. Separate housing will be available for you and travel expenses will be paid for when you travel with our family. We are down to earth, easy going people. We are both active people who enjoy living a healthy lifestyle.

  Our main residence is in Maui, Hawaii. It is sunny and beautiful here almost all year long with beautiful beaches. In the Hawaiian Islands, the culture of its indigenous people, the Native Hawaiians, still runs strong today. When you visit, you'll have the opportunity to experience the amazing culture here. We would welcome you into our "ohana" which means family in Hawaii. Hawaii is the perfect place to grow which is why we want to start a garden to grow food. There are tons of things to do for the outdoorsy type of person who likes to explore.
  
  Our summer home is in Point Roberts, WA. This is a small, quaint coastal town in WA. It is a very unique spot that is only accessible by traveling through Canada. There is only 1 grocery store and 1 bar/restaurant. We often travel into Canada for access to more amenities. The USA/Canada border is 5 minutes from our home. Point Roberts is a truly unique place! We spend a lot of time in Canada which will give you a chance to see and explore another country.

  What We Are Looking For:
  
  We are looking to host someone who wants to join our family and help with schooling, help around the house, help us start a garden for more sustainable living and learn/share a new language. Ideally you like dogs, babies and toddlers since we have 3 children and a dog. We would like someone who is trustworthy and has a kind nature. Our family needs an extra set of hands to help with everyday things: running errands (e.g. grocery shopping), cooking, housework, helping take care of our dog Ginger (walks, pick up poop, etc). We would like someone who enjoys cooking and would like to assist me with prepping meals for the family.

  Unterkunft

  What We Will Offer:
  We have an in law suite where our nanny lives. This is a separate space with a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. There is an additional sleeping space in the suite. We will provide 3 meals a day. We offer a welcoming and homey environment. We enjoy traveling and you would be invited to join us on our trips if this interests you. Trip expenses would be covered such as travel cost and food in exchange for ongoing help during these trips. Our family lives in British Columbia, Canada and we take trips to visit them when we can.
