Beschreibung
The workers are descendents of Santhal tribals from central India, brought here by the British to work on the plantations. It is an opportunity for volunteers to experience working on organic tea plantation and make some of finest teas in the world. The Tea garden is set local Mizu Mishmi tribal culture and is situated on the slopes of the Himalayas in the eastern most part of Arunachal Pradesh. Accommodation and food is simple and tasty. Opportunity to do fishing on the river and bird watching in free time. Volunteers can also interact with the workers children and teach in the school, help in the dispensary and drink freshly made tea. A small fees is required to get a permit to stay in Arunachal Pradesh.

Nearest airport and railway station Dibrugarh. The plantation is set at the confluence of Kamlang and Lohit rivers at Wakro. You can come to Dibrugarh and the garden vehicle will pick you from the station or airport and transport you to the tea plantation.

Suggested length of stay for volunteers : 10-15 DAYS

There is no cost for volunteers except the cost of permit!!
