  New Year's Eve at Oly Surf and Backpacker Hostel. All you can drink for fifteen dollars — tropical cocktails flowing all night, no wristband drama, just good vibes. Live music to kick things off, then the DJs take over as the clock runs down. Fireworks over the Pacific, the whole hostel packed with travelers from everywhere, dancing barefoot in the sand until sunrise. It's the kind of night that turns strangers into lifelong friends.
