  Description

  We are truly honoured to announce that we're bringing this remarkable property back to life! We're kicking off restoration work, with a vision to transform it into a vibrant cultural center.
  In the future we are aiming to create place where diverse cultures mingle, have weekend dinners together made by the permaculture garden vegetables, and interact with the local community.
  
  At this moment, a small crew are working to make this liveable ruin more and more comfortable and cozy.
  We offer basic accommodation and food. There is a kitchen where you can cook, basic toilet and hot shower and three bed rooms with basic needs to share.
  
  We are currently building and restoring doors and windows. We are looking for people skilled in carpentry, who enjoy to be around nature and share simple life style with others.
  Take part in the ongoing maintenance of this property and its surroundings. Your contribution will set the stage for a warm, inviting environment, where people gather, create and celebrate the beauty of life.

  The project will accommodate Workawayers and artists from around the world. The core value we would like to promote in this project is the idea of the interaction between cultures as a generator of inspiration and new ideas. It is a chance to deeply interact with people who manifest their culture, and how to learn from others while strengthening the sense of self.

  Host offers payment in line with the minimum wage

  This host offers accommodation and payment.

  Host has indicated that they will pay at least the minimum hourly wage of their country for each hour worked and that accommodation will also be provided.   We are currently restoring four rooms, the kitchen, and the balcony of the palace. In one of the rooms, the Property Caretaker can stay. With your help, we will construct more rooms on the property which could serve us as well.

  What else ...

  The palace is located in the center of Portugal. An hour fifteen from Porto, two hours from Lisbon, and 10 minutes from Coimbra. One can also enjoy the mesmerizing Mondeigo Valley, right at the edge of the property, or drive half an hour to the beaches of Figueira da Foz and maybe even join us in surfing.
