Corentinne is a most enthusiastic Workawayer. Always looking to help. She was happy to get muddy in the rain preparing an area for tree planting and then carting road base to divert water runoff into our driveway from the road. A construction similar to a speed bump so we named it "le dos d'âne". Potting two hundred seedlings then clearing

Keen to help with cooking and very interested in food preparation. And doing the dishes. Always tidy.
It was good to refresh our basic French conversation with Corentinne's help.
She enjoyed interaction with the rainforest fauna and her fellow Workawayers. It was fun to host Corentinne and she is welcome back. Even though we are inside a rainforest, we have more trees to plant.
A very hospitable couple. I spent a week with them in the Daintree Forest! Helka is a very good cook and Davide taught me a lot of things. Once again, a big thank you to them!!!!
Vom Host für Workawayer (Ava)
It was pleasure to host Ava here in the Daintree Rainforest. We all enjoyed her company. Ava worked well with the other Workawayers, two from France, then two from Finland. Ava is certainly recommended. She is welcome here anytime and we hope to see her again one day.

Charlotte is fantastic. Self sufficient, interested and keen to contribute. Great company with the other workaways. Working with mud and water, quite nice. Moving large rocks, not too hard. The absolutely nice food was prepared by the workaways.
I still love to talk about this adventure also.
Charlotte, we hope to see you again.

The 10 days I stayed in the rainforest with David were fantastic. I still love to talk about this adventure. The work was quite nice and not too hard ;) He took us too amazing places like creeks hidden in the forest and waterholes to go swimming and beautiful beaches. I will never forget this time and I definitely recommend going there.

Vom Host für Workawayer (Laura)
Laura is a wonderful and versatile contributor. Enthusiastic and keen to take on any task – cleaning, construction, cooking, and anything new.
Our major project was to complete the stairway down to our creek. Materials were big flat rocks, smaller rocks, gravel and mud, all sourced from the creek. Laura was key to the project and showed great

Keen to take on projects, she then laid out stone edgings and steps to terrace our rough bush path to the top of the stairway. All the stones, gravel and mud were carted up the 10 m climb from the creek on the newly completed steps. Hard and muddy tasks in the rainforest seemed like part of the fun. Laura also cooked wonderful meals for the whole group. She kept the cabin in good order and embraced the fun job of cleaning.
Laura soaked up the rainforest, sought out the wildlife and explored Cow Bay and beyond with the workaway team on bicycles. We all visited some favourite places together. It was a wonderful time.
Laura, I hope we do see you again – soon.

We had a wonderful time at Davids place in the rainforest. I did some work around the house like cleaning, building stone steps at the river and cooking. We also had a lot of time to explore the rainforest. David took us to some secret places which was very fun. He wanted us to have a good time and that’s what we did.

Vom Host für Workawayer (Moritz)
Moritz seems to be able to do anything. A self starter who will finish the job. All tasks were met with enthusiasm. Also important, his enthusiastic and inclusive company for fellow workaways.
On his own initiative, Moritz replaced a torn up section of our bathroom floor, an intricate job on our wish list. His attention to detail demonstrated in

Roadworks and working with the workaway team building a long natural materials staircase to our creek with huge rocks, gravel and mud. No problem getting dirty, he seems to like mud. We explored some music together, he really knows seriously interesting stuff. Moritz soaked up the rainforest, made friends with tiny tree frogs and stick insects and explored Cow Bay and beyond with the workaway team on bicycles which they had assembled out of the box. We visited some favourite places together. It was a wonderful time.
Moritz, it would be a pleasure to see you again. We hope you will return.

I have been with David for 10 days.

Ps: I hope the storm didn’t hit too hard!
Vom Host für Workawayer (Hannah & Fiona)
Indeed a pleasure to host Fiona and Hannah here in the Daintree Rainforest. Enthusiastic, intelligent and self reliant. Seed collection and potting plants in our little rainforest nursery. Hannah and Fiona are welcome back anytime.
