    Description

I am a 35 years old woman, living on an old miniature farm in Gausdal, Norway. I’m living with my husband, who travels a lot due to his work situation, and we have three young boys at the age of 12 and 9. We also have two cats, and a Staffy pup. I work as an education advisor for the County Governor , and i am engaged in local community matters. My husband work as an air trafficking controller. We are interested in eco-friendly living and local traditions, combined with beeing a contemporary, and sometimes quite busy, couple . We are huge fans of running (UltraRunning), beeing outdore in the wilderness, and spending time with family and friends. We also enjoyed long dinners and conversations.

My parents and grandparents live close bye, and the traveler are invitet to take part in our family activityes to experience traditional norwegian living. Travellers are also welcom to take part in learning more about vegan cooking, and also some traditional food handeling/harvesting from nature, as well as arts and crafts, during the periods when it is season for such. Near by we have:
    - great hiking opportunities!
    - The olympic city of Lillehammer (and some other cities, such as Hamar and Gjøvik).
    - Local museums/sights such as Maihaugen () and Aulestad ()
    - greate skiing opportunities in the winter, both cross country skiing and alpine.

Even though we do not live far from people, we do not live very central either. During the workweek we will be at work/school for about 6-8 hours a day. Please consider if you think you will get to be bored spending time on your own. If you find having time to read, think, go for a walk, enjoying your own company, talking to the cat, singing in the rain and listening to the silence to be a good thing, than I am the perfect host for you. And of cours, we do have some bus conection, and I can also drop you of somewhere before work if you like. And you can off course borrow my bike to get around. It can also be weekends where we are away so that guests will have to be alone at home. We have experienced that students and others who are dealing with other projects on the side (such as moviemaking or other time consuming hobbies) really enjoy long stays at our place.

We (adults) mainly have a vegan diet. The children eat everything, and this can therefore also be offered to our guests.
