Hello workawayers. We are currently not able to host any more workawayers. Keep an eye on the calendar for when we have a place available. Thanks.

We have an old property that we are maintaining/repairing and we are open to meet travelers from all over the world. We are 3 people and 2 dogs here. This property is situated on a quiet beach between the city of Malaga and the town of Nerja.

The area is almost totally Spanish, hardly any foreign tourists around, so an ideal place to practice your Spanish :)
There are bars, restaurants and little supermarkets at walking distance from the house. You can walk for hours along the beach and pass several towns and beach bars.

We ask you to help 5 hours a day. Normally from 9 to 2. In return you will get 3 meals a day, a place to sleep and 2 days off per 5 days helped. Workawayers normally take turns preparing meals unless we have a workawayer dedicated to household and cooking activities.
If you see yourself working here and you like to stay at a property on the beach in southern Spain you are really motivated and not shy of hard work then send me a message.

We have a few small not yet renovated rooms. One with a bunk bed and one with a single bed. In the living room there is a double sofa bed. You can make use of the 2 showers, 2 toilets and the communal kitchen and the beach. Part of the terraces and patios are private or for guests. But there is enough room where you can enjoy your free time.
We cannot accept workawayers with dogs due to a dog staying at the property who does not get along with other dogs.

There is a direct bus that goes into the center of Malaga just 7 min. walk from the house. You can also take the bus to the beautiful town of Nerja and from there to Granada. We have old (wind) surfboards available for you to use. We preferably eat vegetarian.

Jaz (Yamila) was fun to have around. A very positive person enjoying life. She helped us a lot with ideas and all kinds of jobs around the house for 6 weeks. She is trustful, responsible and hard working. We already miss her! Do come back again!

Thanks Jan and his hole family including Sofhie andSara to open the doors to the beach house project. I arrived for two weeks and stayed 6 and I would like stay longer. It was a joy to have had Millie around at our place! She is always in a good mood, very friendly and eager to work. She makes nice Argentine dishes and is a good and clean painter as well as very good in keeping the place clean and tidy. She will be a delight to any host!

Sergio was a great help whom we can recommend highly to any host as he is a hard worker and is a very pleasant, easygoing man, hardworking and sociable. He did a lot of useful work repairing the roof, general building work and painting. We recommend him
