    Beschreibung

This is not only a mud house but a living breathing sculpture, nestled in a remote mountain forest with a deep connection to the dramatic wilderness.

The farm stay is perched over a hill and overlooks the emerald-green waters of the divine Ganges.

It is near the city but isolated enough to experience Rishikesh in its most raw form.

Away from the constant buzzing sounds, lights, and distractions. It is a much-needed escape from the city rush into the forest hush.

The lush Sal forest invites you to lose your mind and find your soul.

It is an experience for the explorer, seeker, connoisseur, and nature lover. For someone who wants to experience natural living and what it means to live in a natural home.

It is entirely hand-sculpted with love and riven by nature's creativity and organic forms.

70 plus volunteers from over 18 countries put in their labor love in this project from Brazil to Japan.

Every delicate detail is intentional and speaks a story.

The walls are sensual and invite you to touch them. Filled with laughter and the healing energies of the volunteers.

The muted color palette and the living roof merge the building with the landscape.

Some people see it as a boat, Noah's Ark floating over the Ganges.

It is a reflection of our passion for craft spaces that bring a sense of calm, simplicity, and sacredness. A space that brings us in tune with ourselves.

The Bathroom has a skylight making bathing a spiritual experience.

The building is constructed using locally sourced earthen materials. The windows are second-hand and retrofitted making it a low carbon footprint building.

We run a rural design studio at the cross-section of art, design, science, technology, and indigenous wisdom.
We are starting art residencies and natural building workshops also.

We are also experimenting with biomaterials and making products using mycelium(the vegetative part of mushrooms), eggshells, Kombucha, orange peel powder, etc.

We would love to have you join our tribe, and become part of our tiny community.

We are happy to teach you about natural building techniques and how the mud house was built.
Also, how we built the wood-fired oven. Natural plastering techniques.

We could also share our knowledge about biofabrication using agriculture, food waste, and organisms such as mycelium and bacteria.

We receive guests from India and all over the world. You can learn the nuances of running a rural farm stay.

You can spend your free time hiking to the village above, or on the beaches along the Ganges, or tiny pools in the creeks.

We live with Dadi(Granny) who has lived her life in this village. The village is a tiny village with only 6 houses and we see the villagers as our extended family and have a lot of indigenous knowledge to share.

We would more than love to learn whatever you have to teach.

Min. one month stay is recommended to make it a meaningful exchange.

We require friends to help with day-to-day activities associated with running our farm stay in an eco-conscious manner:
    - Check-ins,
    - Guest Relations
    - Host workshops related to sustainability and any other topic that promotes cultural exchange.
    - Curate and execute cultural experiences like taking them for a trek or by the beach along the Ganges.

Currently, the hand-sculpted stay is run by us along with two women of the village, who are employed on fair wages and take care of housekeeping and cooking.

The reason we moved to the countryside is to generate employment for the locals to tackle the challenge of migration and villages being turned into ghost villages.
Also, to reinstall belief in their own traditional practices.

By doing this we also want the guests to learn from the indigenous wisdom from the locals.

Please note that the terrain is hilly.
This exchange would be a great fit for someone who is physically fit, likes hiking, and enjoys wilderness.
