… read more took great care of my dogs and the understanding with her dog Lizy was perfect. She took great care of the house, prepared the wood for the fireplaces at nightfall and kept the house warm. Juli is very resourceful and travels solo in her big car. Her mother came to visit her for a long weekend from Budapest and I loved the energy she gives off. I will miss her tranquility, her smile and her grace. I wish her many more great adventures on her road trip.
I've spent a bit more than two months at Laurent’s. For the whole time I felt safe and secure, and he made sure I felt at home. The dogs are adorable and funny. … read more when. I did some gardening, painting and a few maintenance jobs. I am currently on a road trip, and Laurent also helped me with the projects of improving my car for the following trip. I could eat very healthy meals, and he always asked me what would I like to eat during the week. He is a really nice host, with a beautiful place to live in, with a lot to visit in the surroundings. I could only recommend him to anyone who likes to live in a peaceful environment, without the city noise.

Because we speak the same language, it was easy to communicate. The place is really nice. You have an incredible panoramic view and you can watch the sunrise and sunset that you won't see anywhere else.

The place is far from the small village, so it can be a bit complicated to move around. But you will be surrounded by nature and there are always small tasks to do in the garden.
The dogs were adorable and do not hesitate to take initiative if you want to work on something in the house.

I had the freedom to use the kitchen, and the private room provided was cozy and comfortable. That level of trust really made me feel like more than just a volunteer✨✨✨ One of the highlights was spending time with his three adorable cocker spaniels. They are so loving and full of character! Almost every morning, we enjoyed coffee together while soaking in the peaceful scenery—it was the perfect way to start the day☀️

… read more with my friends and family and was covered in compliments. Conversations were in Italian and Spanish and with a little French and English. During my absences she knew how to manage the house with a master's hand. The budding friendship allowed us to joke and laugh on many subjects. She has an offbeat humor which despite her young age reflects a certain maturity and open-mindedness, especially when it comes to humor from the 80s! And also surprisingly, she has a rock culture that surprised me. The old standards of my youth are also part of her musical repertoire. And since Sofia appreciates the good things of the table, she knew how to prepare Italian specialties that reminded me of my years spent in Italy. I will miss Sofia for the long games of backgammon.

… read more cleaning the house and guesthouses, looking out for my dogs. She also had time to take hikes in the area, visit Malaga, read books in front of the fire or outside. She is reliable, friendly and smiles a lot. I trusted her with my dogs, car, my house and guests. Also in the review of guests they said she is polite and helpful. I appreciate her down to earth mentality and that matches with my way of life. Kirsten did some cooking and likes to prepare a good healthy meal. She appreciate good wine during a nice conversation. When I arrived end of February the guesthouses where still closed and I helped Laurent with preparing for the opening. While Laurent did mayor chores like
… read more construction maintenance of the outside kitchen, pools etc, I helped with painting chores, gardening, keeping the house clean etc. Laurent is very friendly, active and is very open to suggestions and teamwork. We developed a trusting relationship to where he felt comfortable with me staying alone in the house, taking care of the dogs, being alone with guests while he was away for one or two nights. I had the freedom to cook and eat whatever I wanted. I also had my own bedroom and could retreat if I felt like it.
Laurent is also very considered in thinking of things to do on my days off and willing to drop me of at hikes nearby. He's very familiar with hidden gems of Andalusia and had many tips.
The dogs are important to Laurent and are very sweet and easy going.
When the guesthouses opened I had the opportunity to meet a lot of nice people from different backgrounds and countries. Most guests liked to share drinks in the afternoon and chat.
