Vom Workawayer (Sarah) für Host
I had a wonderful time at Bing and Karen’s last summer. I stayed for 2 months in July and August. They were so great to be around, kind, flexible, and supportive. I felt right at home. I stayed busy with lots of different tasks, weeding and watering plants, feeding animals, painting, organizing, cleaning. And still had plenty of time to work on my

I learned a lot about plants and gardening, caring for animals, and other little projects like making sauerkraut and mushroom logs. Bing and Karen are fantastic hosts and good friends. 😊 I would highly recommend staying with them.

Would I repeat my visit to this site? Yes! In a heartbeat. Karen and Bing are gracious, perceptive hosts. Their communication was honest, sensitive and informative from our first communication before my arrival through my last day at site. I had clear visit/daily goals that directed me on the farm tasks. Within these goals, Karen and Bing were

This farm is a place of incredible beauty; from the front of the property where Bing and Karen's home is... to the meadows, pond, woods and back cabin (my home when I was there). Opportunities are there for solitude, reflection, engagement, prayer and WORK!!! :)
Shepherd's Bridge is a host farm that provided me opportunities for growth in the areas of farming and horticulture practices; as well as, personal and spiritual well being. The last is an option (not required) for Workawayers, and I chose to take part and am forever blessed that I did.
Bing and Karen truly cared about my well being and were willing to make my stay a positive experience in all ways possible. I truly came as a Stranger and departed as a Friend.
Carolyn was awesome. She pitched right with every task given to her (there were plenty). She cared for the animals: chickens, alpacas and sheep) including mucking out stalls, pulled weeds and weed whipped, painted, scrubbed floors, washed windows, and helped get the cloves ready for garlic planting. She helped us get things done we hadn't been

Thank you Karen and Bing for a lovely month in the Ohio countryside. I loved feeding the animals and the varied work, both hard (eg filling ditches, scrubbing decks) and gentle (eg painting, separating garlic for planting, cutting apples for sauce); I feel strong and enjoyed seeing the results of my efforts! The accommodation was very comfortable

I also appreciated you taking me to Akron to catch the bus for weekends away as the farm is quite isolated - workawayers need to be self-sufficient, with a friend and/or have a vehicle. (Workawayers: internet is good but my phone only had coverage on the road crest outside, whereas other phones may work everywhere)
May you and your farm continue to prosper. God bless, CarolynFeedback

Vom Workawayer (Dasani) für Host
I had a wonderful time in Ohio. Bing and Karen are lovable hosts and I felt like at home. Their farm is beautiful and the varied work was fun. I had great experiences and I've learned new things. For example: Beekeeping, driving a tractor, making apple juice and visiting a rodeo. It was an enjoyable time and I hope I'll come back. Thanks again for

Vom Host für Workawayer (Dasani)
Having Dasani with us was our first workaway experience. She is delightful and exceeded our expectations. She demonstrated initiative and was willing to try everything presented to her with a great attitude, even on the tough jobs. During her stay, she cared for our gardens and animals, she helped with landscaping and grounds keeping, beekeeping,

We had a four day trip planned before she was scheduled to come. Dasani dove right in to her tasks and carried on during our absence. We now have a wonderful friend who we would love to have return.Prototype for creative sustainable living in New Mexico, Sandia park
